Tips for M 2 Milan Bridal

February 04, 2013

I had a bad experience at another bridal salon ordering my dress so i decided to come here for alterations. Wow where do I begin. I was told alterations would cost like 100 less than what I was actually charged for starters. I am getting pinned and i find a belt that matches my dress perfectly. One of my bridesmaids puts it on me and I love it so much i am almost in tears, then a tall woman with dark hair starts shaking her head and telling me nope! You dont need that for that dress it's fine the way it is! Absolutely not needed! Uhm excuse me, this belt is 500 dollars, im willing to buy it because i love it that much and you're telling me no? I decided to purchase it anyways in SEPTEMBER and am told it is an 8 week order. Perfect.. I call back in November and I get told by Steve, the owner that is back ordered and won't ship until JANUARY! By this point I have had enough but for some reason I didn't cuss them out, probably because they still had my dress for alterations. back to that, I come in for a second fitting and a loop from the corset I had them put in pops out, there are crystals missing from my dress and a pleat is sticking out.... I tried to stay calm as they assured me they would fix it. I came back around January 13, which is when they said my belt would finally be in, and to pick up my dress. The lady who I have previously mentioned brought out my dress (Outside of the garment bag and dragging it on the floor) and I went to go pick up my belt from the counter. I was then told that it had just shipped that day and I would receive it 3 to 4 days later. I got a call on Feb 2 saying my belt was finally in, and i picked it up on the 3rd. Now, Let me just say that if you are big on customer service, people doing what they say they will, FAIR pricing, or anything pertaining to general excellence I would avoid this place like the plague. They are morons, complete morons.

Not Reliable. I ordered a bridesmaid dress. Unable to pick it up as I live out of town (San Antonio). Called to have it shipped. Steve said it would be shipped that day (March 30th) and be to my house by the end of the week. Called again that next Monday (April 4th) to say it hadn't made it. He said he would give me the tracking number if it hadn't made it by that Wednesday (April 6th). Called again on Friday April 8th. He said "Oh! Here it is right here! I haven't shipped it yet!). Good grief. His excuse for not shipping it was that he hadn't run my card (even though i gave him my credit card number that very first time i called him). THEN........HE STILL CHARGED ME FOR THE SHIPPING. NOT good customer service and NOT good for repeat business. And I'm NOT impressed.

My mother and I had no clue of what to expect it was our 1st visit to any bridal salon, but my consultant was great!!! She gave me so much information asked all the right questions and treated me like a princess :) nd yes yes made my mom cry to! My consultant pulled 10 dresses and the veryyyyyyyyyyyyy 1st dress i tried on i fell in love with...strange???? i guess it is but it had everything i was asking for....still can’t believe i have my wedding dress and I LOVE IT!!!. Thank you so much Hilda you are absolutely wonderful.

Beware of Mommy Dearest - inflexible policy. We went there to purchase a wedding dress. the clerks were very pushy however the dresses were nice. Apparently all dresses need to be ordered or at least that is what they say. We paid $500 down and the wedding was cancelled. We wanted to use the deposit towards a prom dress and even spend more but they were inflexible and not willing to work with us at all. Beware of what you sign because they do not consider good will nor good customer service. Needless to say we will never shop there again. I should have known better as I usually do not frequent businesses with poor customer service policies.

Waste of time, and left feeling very stressed.. I went to Milan bridal today after being told by a co worker that it was where she found her wedding dress. I was expecting that I would walk in to a soothing atmosphere where a bridal consultant would assist me in finding the right dress.I was totally wrong. Even though I explained what I was looking for, they only brought me a couple of dresses and I had to look through the racks to grab the rest for myself. I made an appointment the day before but I felt like they had just thrown me in with a bunch of other appointment that they couldn't handle. The girl helping me was actually very sweet though, but another employee was rude to me and the people with me a couple of times. I tried on a dress but quickly figured out an excuse to leave.

An overview for this place is that it was stressful and no progress was made on finding a dress. I wouldn't suggest this unless you either know exactly what dress you are looking for, or you aren't picky at all because even when you try the dress on you have to fight to see yourself in a mirror. No pampering- just cut and dry dress racks. Not exactly the wedding dress experience I was hoping to have.

RUN AWAY! As fast as you can!. Where do I start...So my experience with M2 started off OK. I originally went in wanting a specific dress from a specific brand. They didn't have the dress so they told me that if I put down $100 + tax they could borrow the SAMPLE dress from the designer so I could try it on. Yes, I was fully aware that the $100 was non-refundable; not a problem. The dress came in, I tried it on, & loved it! They explained to me that I would need to pay off 1/2 of the dress before they could ORDER me a new one. (I emphasize on ORDER because they suggested I buy the sample....at full price. Um, HELL NO.) They gave me the price of the dress & I never signed an agreement or contract.

A couple of months passed & I had some health issues which resulted in a life changing surgery for me....Which strained our finances a bit for a while. When I had some money set aside I made another $100 payment on the dress. Just before Christmas I had called M2 again to see how much I still owed so I could get the dress ordered. The NEW total they gave me was not the original quote they gave me before. It was about $200 more than the original quote.

So over the Christmas break we visited our family & my mother-in-law surprises me by buying my dress in our home town. (at the designer's store) I called M2 to let them know that I had purchased a dress. I expressed that I was aware that the first $100 was not refundable, but that I would like the second payment of $100 refunded. The lady on the phone immediately got defensive with me and said, "We have been holding this dress for you for months now with the intent of you buying it!" I responded, "WHOA....why would you be HOLDING the sample dress when you know I wanted a new one ordered!?" Of course, the lady on the phone never answered my question...YEP, just like I suspected they were going to make me pay full price for a SAMPLE DRESS that has been shipped all over America and tried on by God knows how many women. She told me that I would NOT get any of my money back even after I reminded her that I NEVER signed a contract or agreement promising I'd buy the dress. This place has horrible work ethic and cannot be trusted! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

You won't be disappointed!. Almost didn't go there because of bad review. So glad I did go! The selection is great. and I got outstanding service. Not to mention a stunning Mother of the Bride dress. Don't let one or two bridezillas remarks drive you away!

Greatest Dress Buying Experience!. I recently got married and when I started dress shopping I was pretty sure what I wanted. I went to dress shop after dress shop. David's Bridal was the worst experience ever! The sales associated at Alfred Angelo had the audacity to ask me if my ring was real and was more concerned about making a sale then helping me find my dress. The final salon that I went to was M2. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by such a friendly staff who got right down to business. The owner of the shop made me her number one priority. What was so great was she asked me about my now husband and what my vision was for the wedding instead of asking me about what kind of dress I wanted. She truly cared about me and wanted to make sure that I looked beautiful on my wedding day. She picked a gorgeous Maggie Sotello gown and as soon as I put it on I knew. She then added a headpiece and veil and everyone in the shop had tears in their eyes. These women have become great friends to me and definently made sure that I felt like a princess on my big day!

HORRIBLE SERVICE. It was my first time at M2 and I will NEVER GO BACK AGAIN. I agree with Karyn about their high pressure sales tactics. The lady only cared about trying to sell the dress and she did it in a very rude and obnoxious way. I tried on 2 dress, one of the dresses was too big so she had to clip it together. I asked her if she thought it would look good and if the corset back would look the same as the other dress. Well, she said "all corset backs are the same because all you do is tie it together."

I HAVE TRIED ON MANY CORSET BACK DRESSES AND THEY ARE NOT ALL THE SAME. THIS IS FROM EXPERIENCE, THEY ARE NOT ALL THE SAME!!! Not even if it's from the same designer.

I was so irritated that she kept saying that and she said it while shaking her head at me as if we were asking ridiculous questions. She was condescending and her persona was just rude.

Also, I talked to a lady that used to work there and she said that M2 was horrible and that their sales tactics were horrible. She said that the dresses don't have prices on them and so they will try to sell it to you for a higher price.

I don't know how they do business with rude customer service. Absolutely unacceptable. To all the brides-to-be, don't waste your time here....go elsewhere.

Extraordinary Service!!!. I purchased my wedding dress in May 2008 from M2 Bridal in Houston. At the time I was living in SLC, Utah and had found my dream dress, but in a brownish color resembling a paper bag. With an August wedding, there was no time to custom order the dress. I called every state in the west that carried Sottero-Midgely dresses and none carried the dress or would help me. I had a trip planned to New Orleans and Houston the end of May and called every store in LA and TX trying to locate my dress. Christin at M2 Bridal was simply amazing and bent over backwards for me as a distressed bride. I came into the store, she calmed me down, helped me try on other similar style dresses, but I still wanted "THE" dress. She called me later that day telling me she found my dress in the exact size and color I needed. I have no idea how she did it--but she made my dreams come true! I was ecstatic, to say the least, and was thrilled with my wedding dress. I recommend every bride I know, to M2 Milan Bridal!
