Longhorn Dental Hooked Me!

I first came to this office two years ago after being turned away from my previous dentist , though I had an intense tooth ache. Longhorn saw me immediately and were so caring and professional. After I left their office, they called me everyday to check on me, even on the week-end.

Once there was a glitch in my children's appointments. They only had one of them down, although I had made appointments for both. They immediately took full responsibility and saw them both.

For teeth cleanings, make your appointments way in advance, as they are always booked. But that just proves that others like their services as well!

Stay far away from Longhorn Dental....

Longhorn dental has an awful reputation. It is run by people who know nothing about the dental industry. They do not care about their patients they care only about the money. I used to work for them and would not reccommend anyone go to any of their clinics. They run out good staff because of the way they treat them. All they ever cared about was the money and numbers. In fact one of the regional managers used to be a conveinence store manager. She knows nothing about the dental field nor is she qualified to run dental clinics. Any good qualified dental professional knows to stay far away from this company so I advise you to do the same.

• Pros: cheaper is not better in terms of dental care

why so rude?

When making my first appt with Longhorn dental, I wrote down everything the receptionist said. She told me they were located in the Chasewood complex, in the same building as the bank. When I showed up to that building right on time for my appt, I found they were in fact in a different building, so I was 7 minutes late. During my appt, the receptionist scolded me for not coming 15 minutes before my appt, since I'm a new patient. When I told her I wasn't informed of that policy, she insisted that she "always" tells new patients to show up early. SHE DIDN'T BELIEVE ME. After she left, the dental hygienist began to also lecture me about not showing up 15 minutes early, even though she'd been there for the first conversation. After the dentist finally came to briefly look at my teeth, she took off and I was left there not knowing what to do. Was I done? Eventually I got up and looked for the dental hygienist, who was annoyed that I'd gotten out of my chair. The receptionist told me (when she was chewing me out) that I needed to make a separate appointment, since I was "late," but I never went back. I switched to a much nicer dentist and I'm a lot happier.
