SPRING MEADOWS-WORST PLACE TO LIVE IN HOUSTON!!!!!. My In-Laws have broke their lease (mutual agreement between them and the apartment management of Spring Meadows). Their life depended on it. My mother-in-law suffers from extreme asthma and diabetes. When one is triggered the other reacts. Spring Meadows was never able to get the air condition working properly in the 4 months that my in-laws lived there. The heat caused my mother-in-law to suffer from asthma attacks on several occassions and be hospitalized 3 times as a result! Once a contractor of Spring Meadows Apts. was summoned to fix the problem, he came in and suggested they close the vents in some rooms to promote air-flow to the other rooms-THAT IS NOT A RESOLUTION! Letters were written to the management office and they were frquently visited by my father-in-law in hopes of maybe a little concern and a resolution to the problems. They were met with sarcasm and defensive attitudes. The parking gate never worked-not a day in the four months they have lived there and the outside lighting was constantly out. When my father-in-law reported it as a safety hazard the leasing agent laughed-YES LAUGHED at him (out loud). There were rodent and other insect problems that were never resolved (also reported several times) and the fixtures in the apartment were in horrible condition at the time of move-in and never repaired or replaced. Everything in the apartment from faucets, walls, door knobs, door frames, window sills, outlets and counter tops are old, tattered and only BARELY functional. Doesn't apartment management do "walk-throughs" before a new tenant moves in? Perhaps they should hire someone with higher standards. This apartment complex is fit for addicts, prostitutes, street pharmacisits and welfare families. Those are primarily the only people you will find living there. The owners should be ashamed of themselves! SERIOUSLY!!!
