Love the place, BUT THAT DJ!!!. Saturday's DJ has NO knowledge good music, has no new Salsa and plays only old stuff from who knows where. Plays 4 bachatas in a row - way to bore people! Even the pop music he plays sometimes sucks. Merengues are OOOOOLD and boring. Hire someone else and you'll get people to stay longer, and most importantly, come back.

Great music and dancing!!!. If you are looking for a great Latin nightclub Elvia's is the place to be... The live music is amazing and the atmosphere is so much fun and authentic... It is the best Latin nightclub in that the area…

AMAZING, I WENT IN NOT KNOWING WHAT I WAS GOING TO FIND, THERES WAS GREAT MUSIC, GREAT PEOPLE AND AMAZING FOOD. IM MAKING ELVIAS MY NEW FRIDAY NIGHT HANG OUT.. I HEARD IT WAS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT SO I GAVE IT ANOTHER CHANCE AND MY EXPERINCE COULDNT HAVE BEEN MORE PERFECT. EL GRUPO KANDENTE (THE BAND THAT PLAYS FRIDAYS) WAS AMAZING.

wednesdat nites rocks. Really, my thing is when you decide to go out, think of enjoying ureself regardless of whose minute and who didnt speak english,etc.make it workfor you. I greatly recommend Wednesday night, the band is great I would never complain bout the drinks being strong coz you save money and you still get youre high. The crowd is fun everyone is extremely lovely, Once in a while you may bump into someone that werent really nice to you but it dont mean all days are like that.For anyone who feels negatively its acceptable but you probably went on a wrong day and you may wanna try it out again, WEDNESDAY, I wouldnt recommend Friday,but Saturday is pretty gud if ure a bachata/merengue fun.for the most part no bad experiences with the exception of it being small. ooooh they redid the dance floor which is a good step.

Shocked!. Wow, talk about a place that went from classy to trashy in several years!!! The last time I went there was like 5 years ago. My cousin and I went there sat night and both of us were shocked. The place looks so trashy now. The dance floor has moved and it's so little, literally about 5 couples can dance on it and thats about it. The drinks are so strong that after 1 pina colada, you feel like youv'e had 5 tequlia shots. The place has too many youngins, they don't check for ID's, and it reminds me of a quincera. The only thing that's good is the music (Mi Rumba), very good live band. At the end of the night, all those youngins were throwing up, and some of them threw up right at the exit door GROSS!!!! Back then, it was classy, older crowd, and decent people. I'm never going back there again. But, if youre 16-20 and want to go to a club that doesn't check for ID's then this is your place.

Wednesday Night Place to be!!!. First of all, Elvia's is awesome! This is the place to show your true latin moves... with real latin people! I suggest wednesday nights because the men only pay $5 and women 21 and up are free! (and parking is always free) You can get there around 8 pm for free salsa lessons, and then wait around till 10:30/11:00 for the live band, whom by the way are awesome! Be ready to dance non stop till around 2 am!!! It can get crowded and hot, but there's nothing else like it. If you want a REAL latin place, not some fancy whoohaa club downtown, I HIGHLY suggest Elvia's!!! You'll have a blast!

Get down and dirty with Latin music lovers who pack the restaurant-turned-nightclub billed as "The Place for Salsa Music in Houston.". In Short
The smallish space looks more like a restaurant than a dance hall, but kick a few chairs out of the way and you've got the space to bust a move, Latin-style. Diners come in for dinner and then work off their sumptuous, not-too-pricey meal with some sultry dancing. Fixtures on the monthly calendar are Ka-Che; Walter Suhr and Mango Punch; Mi Rumba, who specialize in merengue and salsa; and Batacha, for salsa with a Cuban flavor.

a blast. Elvia's is definitely a great salsa/merengue club, it's packed with people every Saturday night. The band is amazing, they even do a few rehearsed dances on stage, and lead singer is a hotty. Only problem is the tons of people that come in make up a cramped dance floor, but hey most people who come to a club are looking to get a lil close to one another...I love the place and attend regularly..btw try to make reservations if u can

Soooo Disappointing!!. We got there at 8:30 because we planned on eating dinner there. The hostess insisted on charging us $10 each to enter, even though we made reservations and were eating dinner there for a party for 8. The menu was extremely disappointing and the band didn't even start till after 11 pm. The dance floor was ridiculously small and packed. Overall, it was a very disappointing night and the people there were rude. It was a waste of time and money.
