Best Bird Doctor in Houston. A Well Bird Check Up annually is always a good idea but when money is tight and the bird looks fine it is harder to make the appointment important. I am so glad I did!! Emmy Lou seemed fine and I was not expecting anything but a great report...when Dr Harwell came in to show me her feet. She has open cracks on the bottom of both feet that hurt me just to look at!! He explained that it could be the result of some of her perches and to remove the rough ones and replace with soft rope or natural wood. He put medicine on her feet and showed me how to apply. He gave me some pain meds to give her and showed me how to do that too. And than he did the most wonderful thing...he looked in her cage and saw the single perch I had in her carry cage was a sand perch. Without a comment he got out his gauze and wrapped it up to protect her sore feet on the ride home. This wonderful Vet has cared for my pets for years and I want him to continue to do so for many many years!!! Please keep this wonderful Doctor happy to stay in practice by using his services and letting him know he is very appreciated!!
