Worst. Dealership. Ever..
Can I rate this with no stars?
I bought my Dodge Challenger from Mac Haik 2.5 years ago and had a terrible experience. The salesmen had no idea what color B5 Blue was, where the metal key is in the key fob, how to use an employee discount, or how to be honest about when the car would arrive (I waited almost 2 months through "It's on its way. Just a couple more days."). When the car arrived, they put their dealership logo on the car, despite me asking them not to, and the car did not come with a spare tire, which I had no warning about. When I asked to order a spare tire and kit, they claimed it didn't exist and nothing would fit the car. They wouldn't order me the kits from the Chrylser 300 or Charger instead either.
Yesterday, I took my car to the Service department to see why the Check Engine light came on. I asked for them to simply hook up the computer and tell me what the error message was. The guy in the service shop told me it was going to be $110 for a diagnostic fee (the car has full warranties) and then wanted to keep it overnight....for a Check Engine light. If they can't handle something that Auto Zone will do for free, what can they handle?
The only time I will go back to this dealership is if my car breaks down in front of it and my cell phone battery is dead.
WARNING. I dropped off my car for an oil change. When I picked it up I drove my car home and parked it for the night. The next morning I noticed that my car had back bumper damage. I called the shop and Sally asked me to wait until Monday to bring it in. She stated there was not anyone that could look at it at that time thet I should miss work Monday and take it then. I still took it to her and she saw the damage. I asked her to order the replacement part and she said she had to review camera film, talk to the two guys that handled my car and also pull the paperwork I signed before she could do anything. She assured me that workers would arrive at 7 am Monday and she would work on this. I called her at 10:20 to ask her the status and she stated she had not been able to work on it because she was trying to get payroll done by noon. I recieved a call from Bryan in service and he stated that after I dropped of my car for the oil change he did do a walk aroung and noted the damage. This is a lie. Why did he not call me and say "I assumed there was no damage on your new car but after my walk around I noticed damage. I need you to come sign this new paper"? He said that when Sally Texted him the pictures of my car that he told her that he had noted the damage. Why didn't she call me when he told her that and say "Mrs. Salinas I just talked to Bryan while he is out of town and he said he noted the damage. I have pulled the paper you signed. Do you want to come back by and see this paper"? I have left her a message because it didn't sound like she was planning to call me back. I have asked if I can view these videos that she said she was going to review. I have also been in contact with Chrysler custome service. Claim #20371492. And am currently looking for information on the owner of this company to let them know how this situation is being handled.
Non-existent service. Left 3 messages since 7:45 AM today. It's now 10:00 AM same day. Trying to make appt for service on my Durango. I've already gone to another Dodge dealer, had car serviced and returned to my office! Still no call from Mac Haik. Would NEVER dream of buying car from here as I can't even get returned phone call from service dept.
