“Outstanding sushi bar!”
“Service can be slow and it does take a while for the food to get there since they do a ton of takeout business.”
“Great variety.”
“Simply put, this is a great place for great sushi at an affordable price.”
“just returned and AGAIN, the service was absolutely horrible.”
“It isn't too expensive and the servers are always friendly.”
“Our last course was brought about another 30 minutes later, a very slow, slow service of food.”
Bad Service. Food good service extremely bad. Be prepared to wait and wait and thirst because no one is going to refill your glass
Best Sushi in the Bay Area!. I've eaten here several times and I haven't had one bad experience. The sushi is always fresh and tastes wonderful. While the ambience leaves something to be desired, it does have a quaint feel to it and seems sort of homey. It isn't too expensive and the servers are always friendly. I would rather drive the 20 minutes to Tokyo Bowl than eat at MS in Dickinson or anywhere else in Clear Lake. Hands down the best in the Bay Area.
Best Sushi Best Price Best Service. I'm hooked on Tokyo Bowl! Great Sushi, Great Service! Best Prices Ever! Wish there was one closer to me, but worth the drive! Even though it is always packed, I have never had to wait more than 2 minutes for a table. I think the up side to it being so busy, is you get served quick, with no reflection on the quality of the food. I love it!
Sushi at its finest. What Tokyo Bowl lacks in atmosphere, it makes up in quality sushi. The sushi is by far the best in town, and the servers are very caring and quick. The cici roll and crunch roll are my favorites.
very poor service.
What I want to report here is the service of the restaurant which was unexpected poor in handling the waiter's accident by pouring several bowls of hot soup on me. My right side of body was burned hot and the soup dripping all the way to my pants from my neck. I had the underwear, sweater, shirt, a coat plus pants all smelling wet (it was a cold evening two weeks ago). For a long while, no any supervisor came to take care the situation or said something, until at least 30 minutes after one of my friends mentioned to the staff that soup was poured over on the guest's cloth and asked them to do something about it, then another person came over to put a $20 bill on the table and lightly said " I heard someone's cloth was spilled with soup and this is the money for laundry." I was so uncomfortable with the smelling wet cloth and body, so I went to restroom cleaned myself a little bit, and my chest and neck was red burned. I was so uncomfortable and intended to leave, however, I forced myself stayed in order not spoil our event of a group of seven people. Our last course was brought about another 30 minutes later, a very slow, slow service of food.
I had to take away the unwanted $20 bill because I did not want to leave it as a service tip with mistake. The reason I did not talk to the owner of the restaurant was because one of our company knew the waiter and asked me to spare him. Even so, I think the restaurant manager/owner should come to find out what had happened and whom had suffered to check if he was hurt. The restaurant not only should take care of the laundry and a medical check, it should also take care of the food bill beside a sincere apology on an accident like this.
I reported this accident now is because until this morning I could find out your website to write my comments after my friend told me about the waiter's story of possible violence. If so he should be better monitored of waiting service in such a public eating place.
Great Sushi, very small, get there early on Fridays.
Best sushi in Clear Lake. This restaurant is very small and fills up very quickly since it only holds 50 or 60 people. If you are not there before 6:30 on Friday you will be waiting to eat.
Sushi is excellent, can't speak for the rest of the food since that is the only thing we go for. Service can be slow and it does take a while for the food to get there since they do a ton of takeout business. One tip, they don't bring the check to the table for regulars, just go to the register and pay.
best quaint sushi experience in clear lake. the quality of sushi is decent, not the best - i've had better, but you're really in for a treat with the ambience: a REALLY small space tucked deep in clear lake, dimly-lit and cozy with a personal touch to it. nevermind that you're practically elbow-to-elbow with the next table and that you can hear every word of their conversation, the mochi ice cream and green tea ice cream are probably one of their better highlights. go here if you want a romantic dinner for 2, or a more intimate conversation with others. pleasant dining experience.*
I've been coming here since I was a young child. And I still love it!.
Opened by a local family, Tokyo Bowl provides a good local environment for sushi. I enjoy the small size of the restaurant, creating an urban feel as opposed to the big Japanese restaurant chains with separate rooms and having to take off shoes. The sashimi and sushi, however, is expertly cut and absolutely delicious; for the head chef is still the same.
You should try their fried ice cream or friend bananas with ice cream for dessert. Absolutely delightful!
Luckily for Friendswood and Pearland residents, there is now another Tokyo Bowl located on Broadway.
This is a must-go. A hidden treasure for a practical price.
Okay Sushi. Definitely not the best sushi in town. Azuma wins handsdown. However, for the value this is a great place for your sushi fix. Great variety. Interesting house creations like the Crunch Roll and Volcanoe take you away from the mundane. Small and cozy environment. Be prepare to be rubbing elbows with other patrons (literally).
Best japanese ever. I don't eat sushi, but I LOVE this place. The chicken yakisoba and katsu are the BEST chicken dishes I have ever had. Yes, it is a little small and cramped but well worth it. We eat here at least once weekly.
