“Sew Contempo is a great source (albeit a little more expensive) for batik and bright, contemporary fabrics.”
“drove 40 mins out of my way to try this store as i was looking for a specific pattern and had heard they had reappy nice fabric.”
Wonderful Selection. Wonderful selection of unique, quality fabrics, and a great place to buy a machine. I got my Viking here a couple years ago. They have a very knowledagable staff and offer a free intro lesson with your machine purchase as well as a variety of other quilting and sewing classes.
love the selection. I love the selection of fabric that they have here but it was quite a bit more expensive than some of the other shops that I frequent. I found the ladies to be helpful once I got to the register to pay
Great Improvement. Great improvement since the spring when I was last visited it. New pleasant staff. Lots of fabrics, especially batiks and many many interesting classes for beginners and intermediate quilters are now offered. I will definitely take classes in 2011. I heard from a friend that the teachers are wonderful, knowledgeable and very patient with total beginners. I am so pleased to have this store in my area. You should try it out.
Good Selection. This shop has improved since I was in it some months ago. The staff is attentive and they offer more classes in quilting from beginner to advanced level. A good selection of fabrics and some very unusual ones like Amy Butler and Kaffe Fassett's colorful and contemporary styles. Also an amazing selection of batik fabrics. I will definitely go back and I hope to take some classes in 2011. Keep improving!
Sew Contempo Missouri City. Since the negative 2009 comments, the Missouri City store has changed staff and the new ladies are pleasant and helpful. The store now has an extensive list of classes listed on their website from general sewing and arts to quilting classes. I went to one recently and learned a lot from a super teacher. I will go again as often as I can afford to in 2011. Try to support your local store so that it can expand and improve rather than criticize and run it into the ground.
Very Knowledgeable. I have purchased 3 machines (2 high end machines) from this store and received great products and great follow-up machine specific classes (free) and service. They have great staff that are knowledgeable and helpful. Their pricing is very competitive. Their product lines are very broad and you can 9 out of 10 times find everything you need right there. I usually don't need to go anywhere else. I can recommend them very highly to anyone who loves sewing, quilting and/or embroidery.
Sewing Professionals. "The long time staff really knows what they're doing and will give you all the time you need to learn your new machine. True sewing professionals."

Sew close to home. My mother purchased a machine from them and what most impressed her was that they taught her how to use it. It's extra nice that it is close to us.
