DUH!!
by Cutter
Tried to order a part for my sewing machine. Was on hold forever and she couldn't tell me the cost. She told me they would call me back with the price right away. That was early yesterday and nothing yet. Looks like the people who answer the phone and the people in the stores are the same.
Tried calling a few times today and they are not answering.
Found another place and ordered the part and it will be here in 2 days. Quick!
- Cons: They do not know how to sell anything
Rude staff in New store location too
by Luv2Quilt
To add to the previous poster ... Maybe their staffs' "attitude" is contagious! I live in Sugar Land and have visited their new Missouri City store several times in recent months. I have sewed & quilted for 20+ years. My visit to this store (2 weeks ago) will be my LAST !!
This was the 3rd time we've been there and nothing has changed. I've been twice with quilting friends and once myself. On each visit, the staff & mgr. were indifferent and more interested in chatting together at the counter than in HELPING CUSTOMERS.
The store was NEVER busy (Wonder why?) no classes going on or anything. Just total indifference. They did not appear to care if they greeted, helped us or sold anything to us.
Unbelievable lack of customer courtesy and service - and esp. for a NEW shop location that needs EVERY bit of help it can get. It won't be there very long with this kind of customer treatment.
There are 3 other established quilt shops in our area who have FRIENDLY, KNOWLEDGEABLE STAFF and better stocked, too.
Sew Contempo, you badly need a Shop MAKEOVER !!
Rude staff, buyer beware
by Voodudoc
I drove 40 mins out of my way to try this store as i was looking for a specific pattern and had heard they had reappy nice fabric. It was a very large mistake. The staff was sooo rude! I eas in the store for some 30 mins looking at fabric and neither of the 3 people working in the store ever offered to help. When I did ask about a pattern catalogue the older saleswomen who I asked snapped snidely that they did not stock that brand of patterns despite having a pattern cabnet with the brand printed largely across the cabnet. I was competely taken aback and quickly left the store. I mentioned my experience to several others who informed me that they had similar experiences of the the "elite quilter" in this store. My advice stay away and spend your money somewhere where you will be treated like a person.
- Pros: beautiful fabrics, nice slection
- Cons: Horrible customer service and maltreatment not worth any fabric
