The Scene
This 243-room high-rise hotel south of Houston overlooks beautiful Clear Lake, where you'll find more pleasure boats than just about any other area in the country. Across from the NASA-Johnson Space Center, the hotel is popular with both business and leisure travelers. Water-skiing, jet-skiing and private boat slips make it different from most of its competitors, and although it's outside Houston proper you'll still find plenty to do.

With a marina in their backyard and Nasa Space Center across the street, the Hilton is your best bet in the area. And many a high school student has spent their evenings hanging out at "the rocks" right around the cove.
