As I entered, I asked one of the store clerks to show me to the swimming section, and while being accompanied there by the clerk, I was rudely asked to leave my backpack in the front desk by another employee. I had been shopping around in related shops all afternoon and this didn't happen in any of the other stores. I was very unpleasantly surprised, and when I asked why, the employee just replied that "most of the costumers" didn't have a problem with this policy. I found it rather insulting and decided to leave. They guy looked at me like I was from another planet. I think in the future I will stick to REI!
