Went here Saturday night thinking it was a middle aged hangout, but quickly realized it was a little older crowd than that. If you're looking for a 50+ crowd this is your place.

Great Times - No Hassle. We are the type that gets out early to the club. When we first walked in there were only a couple of people sitting around the bar of this dimly lit club listening to the music on the juke box watching TV. We thought "oh boy, this is dead". Little did we know that when the bad came in and started playing that the crowd would show up and the fun would begin. The house band is great. They have a very good sound for such a small venue and are more than happy to take request. We loved the fact that we, in our 40's, were not bombarded by young people trying to be "cool" and were able to drink and dance the night away without any distractions from others. The only drawback is that the single ladies definitely get more of the bartender and wait staffs attention than the rest of us, but they make up for it in atmosphere and class.

Citysearch Editorial Review. With a dimly-lit interior swirling with a sexy air of intrigue, this live jazz hub packs 'em in once The Tighten Up Band, whose bluesy renditions of Skynyrd, Kanye, and Marvin Gaye, get rolling around 10 pm. Regulars munch on free popcorn at the bar while the tuxedo-clad bartenders venture into the table area to wait on patrons watching the mayhem unfold on the dance floor. Caps may cater to a more mature, middle-aged crowd, but the venue, deceptively enlarged by mirrored walls, has an energetic anything-can-happen vibe suited to all breeds. Drinks are pricey but pack a powerful punch.

Thursday Nite @10:00pm. It was our first time there. WOW what a nite! I went with a couple of my older girl friends and had a blast. The live music was EXCepTional. My girls really enjoyed it. The service was GREAT. The people there were very AMIABLE and we danced the nite away. This is a great place to relax, have a good time and meet all kinds of people. If you are open...

Best place to meet women in Houston. I was a regular at CAPS for many years. I never had so much fun meeting women and having one night stands before. People go there to have fun, yes, but mostly to meet and hook up with other people. Too bad I don't live in Houston anymore. I miss the nights and the women of CAPS...

Super Great Place to Dance!!. NOTE: The house band performs Tuesday thru Saturday. I took my date on Thursday September 24, 2009. Parking was easy and the parking lot of only medium quality lighting. We went, expecting one or two people on piano taking requests, instead we found an excellent house band. The house band starts playing at 9:45 and our 10:00 arrival was perfect. The band, two guys on keyboards and a drummer, played beat oriented 70's and 80's music. Middle aged people twirled and swung on the dance floor. The house band was of excellent caliber and my 25 year old date wasn't just impressed, we're going back soon. The service was good. Drinks cost 10 bucks each. My one complaint is that the drinks are powerful, very powerful. I ordered a rum and cola, being used to a 20 percent rum, 80 percent cola mixture. Not only was my drink at least sixty percent rum, it was the very powerful 151 rum. My date commented that her drinks were also on the powerful side. If you like dancing and full strength drinks, this is your place.

It's 5 o'clock on a Saturday. Oh it's 5 o'clock on a Saturday, the regular crowd shuffles in. And the old man, sitting next to me, is making love to his tonic and gin.

If you are wanting a place to hang out, unwind, and enjoy great entertainment, visit this bar for a great time. The bartender makes great drinks and knows the regulars by name. He is attentive to his crowd, and the prices are reasonable. They even have a popcorn machine for those of you who have the munchies when you drink.

They have a great juke box that has all the great classics. The piano player, Travis, is so talented. They band knows how to involve the crowd.

On one occasion, this female singer called three women, including myself, on stage to have a dance off. It was spontaneous and fun.

Free parking in a small lot, next to the House of Pies.

Caps piano bar is one of the last remaining piano bars in Houston, and it is well worth the visit.
