Horrible customer service. We ate there today for a co-worker birthday and were treated horrible by both the waiter and manager of Palazzo's. It was a complete disappointment to us as we have eaten there for many, many years but WILL NEVER return. Our waiter made an error and the manager came and let us know it was basically OUR fault. Not customer service AT ALL. Food not like it had been in the past either. Glasses never filled once emptied and just plain lazy service as well. Will be sure to pass this along to everyone I know.
This review does not reflect our commitment to customer service at Palazzo's. After looking into this, we found out: This customer called to preorder their food over the phone before they arrived. The manager explained that this is against our policy. The customer persisted that they wanted to preorder over the phone. The manager on duty obliged despite this being against our normal procedure. When the guests arrived (9 guests), a couple of guests were given the wrong panini sandwiches because the waiter did not take the order. We remade them to correct this. Separate checks were requested at the end of the meal and we explained we do not separate a check at tunch because it would take a waiter too long to separate 9 orders and the guests were in a hurry to begin with. Restuarants have policies for a reason...to insure good service. This is what happens when those policies are not followed...a vindictive unfair review despite "many, many years of service". - Palazzo's Owners
Always-abuzz neighborhood trattoria serves up fresh pizza and zesty Italian fare..
Authentic old-country pizzas and fresh salads top a long list of reasons to love this energetic, come-as-you-are bistro. Fiercely loyal clientele rave about Palazzo's consistent quality, attentive wait staff and reasonable prices. Lunch includes pasta, salad, pizza and sandwiches. For dinner, start with spinach artichoke dip, then check out tomato basil soup, lasagna, primavera, capellini pomodoro, chicken Canneloni or the Athena pizza (pepperoni, red onion, tomatoes, black olives and feta cheese). Well worth the short wait.
Excellent Italian Cuisine! Reasonable and GREAT Service. My husband and I had never tried Palazzos and on a late Sat night we found ourselves with two hungry 8-year-olds. We arrived Palazzos about 7:30 which was late for dinner. We were the only couple dining with children that late and were made to feel very comfortable. The food was just awesome! The girls had spaghetti which they devoured, I choose the crab cakes and chicken cannilloni. Absolutely delicious and extremely reasonable. We will so be back!
The best Italian food in River Oaks.. For an area of town that's notoriously snobby, Palazzo's offers friendly service and tasty food. The tomato mozarella salad is delicious, as are the pizzas.

I have been a regular customer since 1996 and have never been disappointed by this
restaurant. The roast chicken pizza is a culinary delight, the veal dishes are superb, and the pasta is magnifico! You can even bring your own wine but, the house chianti served in a half or full carafe is a remarkable value.
Great Date. My wife have been Palazzo's regulars for over a year now. If you like good food, great service and attention to detail...this is your place.
great great great. Out of town visitor - had a salad, pizza and bread pudding... all were FANTASTIC!!
