Bad food, rude staff, and manager even worse. BAD BAD BAAAAD!!! Where do I start? hmmmm...

I went there with my three yr/old and my 7yr/old. Both well-behaved. We were with a good-sized party for a friend's birthday.

1. We had about five waiters. Two had good attitudes. Three had TERRIBLE attitudes. But I let it slide considering the tables that needed to be waited.

2.When we FINALLY got our food we were NOT impressed. BLAND.

3. When I got the tab I found that they were charging me $57 and change for just me and my two kids! They charged me for two Tamarind drinks that I DID NOT order nor consume! They charged me full price for my son's lemonade that came in a very small child-sized cup. Turns out that they don't give free refills on that so they charged me double! And as if THAT wasn't enough they even charged me a gratuity fee of $8 and some change.

3. Needless to say I wanted to see the manager who was VERY RUDE. I flat out told the man that I was NOT going to pay such a REDICULOUS price and that I am not made of gold. I was firm but in no moment was I rude. Until of course HE SNAPPED AT ME, turned to the hostess claiming that I wouldn't let him talk. HE WAS STILL TRYING TO CHARGE ME FOR THE TAMARIND DRINKS THAT I DID NOT ORDER! I was trying to explain to him that I didn't order it!

4. When we went to the restrooms they were burning up in there! It felt like you were in an oven. They were nasty and unsanitary.

Needless to say this family is NEVER EVER EVER EVER going back to that place AGAIN!

Low Quality, High Prices, Horrible Staff. I went there with a friend and her son. My husband and newborn daughter joined us about 20 min. after we arrived. The waitress took a bit to seat us and slapped some menus on the table and just walked off. About 15 minutes later she came back and asked if we were ready to order and rudely walked off mid order. Her cell phone rang so she just left. Finally after ordering a margarita and pinacolda and dinner she came back with the worst drinks I've ever tasted. we asked her to take them back to the bar for new ones, she picked up a straw from the table ,put it in our drinks and tasted our drink! Gross! She then walked away and told the bartenderwe were complaing about his drinks. He poured our drinks into a blender and mixed them up, th poured them back into the same glasses,(as if we didn't see). I told the waitress we didn't want them , and to remove them from the tab. Big mistake! Our food came out cold and just sloppy looking. The food was like Taco Bell at Olive Garden Prices. We asked for the tab so we could just leave. She caught an attitude and made us wait 30 minutes for the tab. we then found out she charged us gratuity for 3 Adult and one 5 year old and a newborn who didn't eat. When we complained to the manager Ivan he said he was less than attentive. We left with a bad taste in our mouths and a dent in our wallets that surely wasn't worth it.

Great place for a party, great staff, great service, great food!!. My experience at the Gulf Gate location was the best I've ever had for a party. I reserverd it for my daughter's quineanera celebration and I'm so glad I did. The manager was very helpful and friendly, making sure that she had all the details of what I wanted for my baby's special day. The decore was elegant and perfect for the occasion. The wait staff was awesom. They waited on my guests hand and foot, and they always knew what to do and the exact time to do it so I didn't have to lift a finger. My guests were all impressed at the service and the food. We will be having more parties there very soon.

This casual, kitschy restaurant serves up quality margaritas and Tex-Mex standards.. In Short
Beautiful hacienda-style decor and roaming mariachis add to the festive, welcoming atmosphere. The bar area is a popular after-work spot with margaritas as the drink of choice, while sports fans enjoy soccer on TV. A gracious waitstaff keeps the chip, salsa and beverage refills coming. Queso flameado con camarones is a thick, filling blend of cheese and shrimp. Other menu highlights include the parilladas (huge grilled platters), fajitas and other Mexican favorites.
