Houston Best Pie Shop!!!!. French Silk & Keylime pies are my favorite!!

Always the best place to get pies for Thanksgiving & Christmas gatherings:)

Open 24 hours. Great late night breakfast to go to after hanging out at the adult clubs(if you know what I mean...) So many weird people to watch during the late hours.

Luv the retro decor like the diners out of the 70's & 80's!!!

Pies are subpar, sometimes breakfast is alright.. I've been really let down on my more recent visits to the House of Pies. I went for breakfast with my husband very early one morning, and the service was subpar, and our orders were jumbled around. They finally delivered the right kind of potatoes and breads and such, but the food just wasn't as good as it used to be. Prior to that, my bestfriend, roommate, and I all went for just pie, considering they ARE the House of PIES, we figured they'd be pretty solid. Oh no. DON'T GET THE GERMAN CHOCOLATE PIE. To spare you the details, it looks like it came from someone, and tastes about the same. The strawberry-rhubarb was edible, but not great. Additionally, the past few times I've gone there, they're ALWAYS out of the ONE consistently good item: the maccaroon. If you're going there, get those, assuming they MIGHT have them, coz they're always decently good. Otherwise, don't go out of your way to eat there. The food's average, at best, the service is the same, and a lot of their items are a little overpriced for what they are.

Pass this House up!. This place has got to be the most disgusting breakfast/dessert restaurant I've ever been in. I'd rather go to Krogers, buy a frozen pie and eat it at home. The decor of the place is from the 70's and so are the staff's wardrobe. Will never go back again!

Great Apple Pie & Strawberry Pie. If you are looking for a home-style pie, House of Pies is the place to go. Portions were good and the freshness of both pies. We plan on going back again...

IHOP is better, believe me. My coworker told me that I was really missing out since I haven't eaten at House of Pies. My boyfriend and I were both disappointed by the quality of food. I had the Country Breakfast. IHOP's pancakes are fresher and fluffier. My eggs at H of P were runny, ugh. The service was decent. I still had to get a pie just to say I tried it. Well, the pie tasted like jello filling with whipped cream on top.
