Not So Good. Went to the Bellaire location. Offers all different forms of Asian food, Japensese, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese. Seems like a great idea, however poorly executed. Site is somewhat dirty and food not very good.
AVOID COMPLETELY: I am eating this for lunch and it is not good.. Working in an office building closeby, I decide to try something new from the normal Fu's Garden delivery. So, I try Cafe' Tin Tin. I by the way am very particular on fried rice and egg rolls. I know how to make them myself at home and was taught by my mom how to tradtionally make these wonderful asian dishes. I have this theory that if an asian restaurant cannot produce decent side items then they are falling short (in my opinion). The rice tasts like metal. I have no idea why it would, but I am not going to eat it. Also, the egg rolls are old and taste odd, like they added too much anise or some other seasoning. I ordered the Sesame Chicken; while the sauce tastes like soy sauce, like it should, the chicken itself is dry and some pieces of the chicken is hard (from over cooking?). Additionally, my co workers ordered the Kung Pao Shrimp. They were dissatsfied with their food as well. I really wouldn't recommend this restaurant unless you like to be disapointed.
Too cheap for its own good.
Don't be fooled by the celebrity pictures at the door. Despite the other raves, don't bother with this place unless you want bad service, bad food, dirty tables, no A/C, and flies. I've been there over a dozen times, and they are consistently underwhelming and have been on the decline since their start. I've decided to call it quits on Cafe Tin Tin, and with good reason.
They're too cheap for their own good: they've got the A/C so low you might as well be eating outside (the A/C doesn't even run in the bathrooms, which are another story altogether). The flies landing on your food are a clear indication that the owner doesn't spend enough money cleaning the kitchen. If you run a restaurant, you usually have a professional kitchen cleaning service come in at night and really clean up the place every so often.
The service is amatuer to the point of inconvenience. On our last visit, the waiter put our entrees down within 3 minutes of setting down the appetizer. If we wanted our entrees cold, we would have ordered our entrees cold. Moreover, the tables are regularly dirty. You can tell someone gave it a half-a$$ wipe down, with the result of smearing the filth over the table instead of taking it off the table.
The menu is also lackluster. That's not to say they don't have a shiny, glossy finish on their printed menus; they do. It's just that items are regularly unavailable and are poorly prepared. On our last visit, my wife's noodle dish was so undercooked she lost her appetite on her first bite, and they didn't have what I wanted on the menu. That's not the first time.
If the owners are reading: make changes and get your stuff together. You're running a crappy restaurant, cutting corners in all the wrong places, and losing customers as a result. We eat out regularly and pass along our favorites and hate-its to our friends who eat out regularly as well. Cafe Tin Tin has just made our hate-its list, and we're passing it along.
VERY TASTY!!.
I have been a regular customer since they opened the doors. It is a great place with authentic pacific rim, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese food.
The owners are gracious and the service has always been impeccable!
I will return again and agian, we never get tired of the dishes here!
They add new items to the menu often!
They also have a fantastic prix-fixe lunch special, al inclusive!

FANTASTIC!. Cafe Tin Tin is a fantastic! I really cannot say enough good things about it. The food not only tastes great, but is prepared quickly and very reasonably priced. The service is excellent, friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. It makes me feel good to go into a place, where they know you by name and are eager to please. DEFINITELY go there!
Not recommended. This restaurant is fast food disgused by a pseudo-fancy setting. It's too dark (trying too hard). Our table had a giant wet spot on the cloth so we had to switch. But besides that, the quality, taste, and portions of food are the same, actually LESS, than at any cheap Chinese joint. The service was poor. I will NOT return to TinTin and do not recommend your attendance either.
outstanding!. Everything they make is incredible. Best dumplings in Houston, bar none. If you haven't been by, stop. If you live nearby, have them deliver.
