Nothing but average attempt. I read a review that mentioned that the mashed potatoes were fake. They are indeed fake. The Palm charges a premium price, but delivers something akin to airport fine dinning. If you can't even mash a potato how can they be trusted to make anything complex. I dropped $300 for lunch with friends and would not spend another $1 in the place. It is pretendica fine dinning...don't be fooled.

Just plain good food!. Steaks, lobsters, lamb chops, service... best in town!

Comfortable atmosphere.

So many better choices out there. With so many great steakhouses is Houston, don't waste your time or money at The Palm.

The food turned up warm not hot. The sevice is slow. I swear the mashed Potatos were made from "Instant" flakes.

The noise from the rowdy bar makes conversation at your table very tough.

great steak. If you are looking for a good steak this is the place. The service is excellent too. I'd definitely recommend it to my friends

Wow. From the moment you walk in this hot place, you know this place is special. I went with somebody important, and we were sat immediately. Service was way above the Houston usual and the food came out quickly. My Medium Steak was just that...MEDIUM! Wonderful job, but the prices were a little more than I can usually afford. I guess that keeps out the undesirables. I'd definitely take someone here to impress them!

Houston let down. I have lived in Houston for two and a half years, and my job requiers me to entertain customers (with a generous expense account). Therefore, I get a good taste in the way of what the top resuraunts here have to offer. First let me say that Houston is the best in the country for resturants, bar none. But, Palm was a big let down.

prices were way to high in relation to portions and taste wasnt any better than chain resurants.

Also service was poor and atmospher left something to be desired for the Gallareia area.

The name sound cool, but the place sucks. I dropped a hundred and fifty bucks for two people and drank two drinks a piece. Then we went to Taco Cabana and I landed the account. If your looking for top of the line it aint here.

Surf & Turf. excellent NY style steak house with large lobsters available, may other dishes Italian specialties, clams, etc. all prepared very well

Steakhouse the way it should be. The Palm is the only steak restaurant in town that feels authentic. All others seem to be trying too hard. Although their meat is excellent, don't pass over their seafood which is also delicious. Sides and appetizers are HUGE (tip: share!). Although service is normally very good, our last visit disappointed with a rushed feeling. The waiter couldn't seem to get our order fast enough and became irritating after several visits back to our table even though we were obdiously still enjoying our pre dinner cocktails.

Excellent Dining Experience. Excellent food and service. The wait staff, Mark and Willie, were the most pleasant. The best lobster and steak I have had in a while. Wonderful wine selection also.
