In Short – This offshoot of a popular New Orleans hangout for politicians features decor of dark woods and comfortable booths, with a separate bar scene. Choice cuts of custom-aged beef arrive in sizzling butter on 500-degree plates. The menu also offers chicken, pork and seafood entrees along with Creole appetizers like shrimp remoulade. Family-style sides include gargantuan onion rings, creamed spinach and various styles of potatoes. Traditional homemade desserts like cheesecake and bread pudding conclude the meal.

Never Coming There Again!

During the last three (3) visits to Ruth’s Chris’ Steakhouse we have noticed that the valet parking staff is not providing the services expected from their facility.
On Saturday night April 21st, 2012 we visited the restaurant. While I was getting the car from the back and pulled up behind another car I observed my wife who is disabled trying to get down the stairs and none of the attendants that were standing by the stairway even had the courtesy to assist her down.
While I was planning to provide a tip I asked them why they did not assist my wife. They advised me that they are there only for “valet parking customers” and they started laughing.
We do not use the valet service because we have several items in the car what needs to be secured.
My wife and I will not visit Ruth’s Chris’ Steakhouse ever again due to the unprofessional mannerism of these attendants.
To my opinion they should change their valet parking contractor because they will continue to lose more and more customers.
Best Steak and Service!

We went for the first time, party of 3 last night. We aren't politicians, doctors or lawyers but just regular folk. I Was expecting a great steak. Had the surf and turf. The lobster tail was, as someone else pointed out, frozen, but what did I expect this isn't a seafood restaurant with connections to Maine for lobsters. The steaks and lamb chops ordered were very good, though extremely pricey. I expected pricey. And I'm not complaining about the price.
The sides, $7.50 for a bowl of mashed potatoes that had to be instant, horrid. Green beans that had no flavor at all, cha ching....another $7.50 I would think for $7.50 they could cook up some fabulous taters and beans. I could cook them better myself and i'm no cook.
Great waiters though.... I don't really care for service so grand that when you go to the bathroom and come back you find your napkin refolded, etc. That may be great for some but not for me.
I'd go and have a steak but i won't be ordering any sides next time whatsoever.
Margueritas were good frozen and on the rocks, but at $10 they ought to have been. Note to self: Quit complaining about the price. Reasonable for the atmosphere it was.
If you have to ask how much tho, don't go. I went with the attitude that it didn't matter and i let everyone in the party of 3 order whatever they wanted. Bill was around $200 and that seems reasonable for a high brow dining night once in awhile.
- Pros: steaks were great
- Cons: sides taste like boxed/canned
Fabulous, all-around

Oh, what a night! My SO and I dined at Ruth's Chris for our 3 yr. anniversary. It was amazing, from start to finish.
The server was Dragan - we loved him. Prompt, polite, subtle, and always there when you need him. Wonderful service.
We selected the Coldstream Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. A moderately priced white, it was light and fruity, almost effervescent. I realize this isn't supposed to complement steak, but I was delighted with it.
Dinner: I ordered the Summer Classic 3-course meal: House salad with a light, tart vinaigrette; 6oz filet w/ grilled jump shrimp; green beans with garlic; and a raspberry sorbet in a chocolate shell with fresh fruit over sweet cream for dessert.
The filet was a carnivore's dessert. Outstanding. It was unbelievably tender and served atop a sizzling garlic butter sauce. The shrimp were also very good, with a clean, fresh taste. The raspberry sorbet was a delicious palate-cleanser; very tart and not too sweet.
My SO ordered the 16oz NY Strip, which turned out to be the quintessential Man's Steak. It was absolutely delicious. A bit more seasoned than the filet, it had a great char-grilled crust on top and a wonderful, 'true meat' type of flavor. His shoestring french fries were a guilty pleasure, as well.
Dragan brought out a gigantic chocolate molten cake on the house after dinner. Like everything else, it was rich, decadent, and an absolute joy to devour. I also LOVED the house coffee.
All in all, it was a perfect night.
- Pros: Tender, tasty steak
