Beautiful Hair! – I go to the Bella Rinova Salon in Market Street in The Woodlands. Front desk is very courteous and caring. The hair stylist I use is Esteban Hernandez. He's awesome! I have very long hair and treasure it. He put highlights all the way through and did a beautiful job! He assisted me in selecting the color of highlights and made recommendations in which I followed and was very pleased. He has a lifetime client! Thank you Esteban!!!
Avoid, Expensive Hair Colorist with Few Crayons – After being a client of a hairdresser at this salon for 18-24 months, the hairdresser was no longer giving me the color or highlights I was requesting. My hair became darker and darker with time, the highlights less noticable. After being disappointed in the results twice, I reiterated my desires at my most recent cut, color and highlights appointment. Again it was too dark. I called the next week, left a message and received no return call. I called a second time and the very nice front desk person asked the hairdresser about the issue. She responded that it was semi-permanent dye and I should wash it. I wasn't requesting hygiene instructions. I needed blonde highlights and lighter overall, today....not in 4 weeks. I did NOT receive a call back nor an invitation to come back. This is disappointing after being a good client, which means I showed up on time for my appointments, was appreciative of her work, and left a 20% tip. She has lost two clients since my friend that recommended her will not go back. My friend has gone to this person for 3 or more years and also used the salon.
This hairdresser should have a sign at her station that reads, "Have your hair done MY WAY."
costly disappointment – i was recommended to a hairdresser here (who shall be nameless), after my hairdresser passed away and i was trying to find another "regular" hairdresser....however, i was extremely disappointed.....this guy did not seem to know much, as he could not recommend or suggest anything (as good hairdressers usually will) and i basically had to tell him exactly what i wanted.....he also did not do a good job with my highlights, as you could barely see them.....he even commented on the fact that i should return within the week if they weren't "visible" enough.....you could see that he even knew it was a poor job done by the expression on his face when he removed the foils.....he also said he probably didn't put enough bleach to lighten the color.....i didn't return, because he took long enough to do my haircut and highlights the first time around.....the facility is also mediocre in appearance......the hairdresser even commented on what a great haircut i had when i first arrived.....before he cut it that is!! he seemed to be inspecting the style of my preivous haircut, as if he was amazed and didn't know how it was done!! i would never return....additionally, this was probably THE MOST expensive hair service i ever had with no quality at all.....and i am usually williing to pay a pretty penny for hair service so long as it's worth it....
Great Massage, Busy Lobby – I received a great massage on Valentine's Day 2006. It was very relaxing. The Bella Rinova Uptown location was a great way to spend an afternoon.
The only gripe I have is that the lobby attendant wasn't very friendly. They were quite busy, but nonetheless, treated me as if she didn't really care about being there. It definitely put a damper on the trip to the spa. The massage definitely made up for it though!
A pioneer of Uptown Park, this plush spot is one part day spa, two parts salon. – The Scene
With manicure stations nestled in an alcove next to hair-washing stations, Bella Rinova is a little more salon than spa. Local socials flock to the chintz and leopard print waiting room in anticipation of their kurs and massages, but it's in front of the exposed-brick wall of the French chateau-inspired salon that the real magic ensues.
The salon is one of the few in town that L'Oreal has given permission and training to perform Kerastase treatments--heavenly hair rituals recently imported from Europe. In the day spa, estheticians are busy producing some of the best-shaped eyebrows ever seen, along with conducting microdermabrasion and no fewer than five different kinds of facials. Body wraps and massages round out the rest of the treatment options.
Massage, body treatments, wet treatments, facials, medi-spa treatment, hair removal, manicure/pedicure, full-service salon, makeup application.
I love my hair! – I recently relocated from boston and trying to find a stylist was a nightmare, until someone recommended Josephine at Bella Rinova. She took time out to consult with me and the end result was the most beautiful hair color I have ever had. I highly recommend the salon, my experience was wonderful.
User review by jenniferandangelat – This is not a spa! The massage room (only one) was so small and so were the two facial rooms. I wanted a body treatment and they had no shower! The massage therapist was older than my grandmother and was terrible! The place looked dirty and too crowded. The hair part seemed ok.
Devoted Customer – Bella Rinova has the most fabulous hair stylists within the inner loop of Houston. Trust me Im a high maintenance woman with high maintenance hair. I visit them about once to twice a week. They have an edge on style and the upper-hand when it comes to trends, products and service. Whether you need just a trim or a full make over they certainly have a group of trained professionals / technicians that can assist in any capacity you need. Personally Im addicted to Sergio, he is the best hair stylist Ive found since Ive moved from Los Angeles to Houston.
Nose-dive – Years have passed since I wrote this review. I demand that it be removed. This business has nose-dived since the writing of my first review. Tho original staff and owner are gone and I no longer can recommend this establishment. After being handed around over the past two years from stylist to sylist and suffering one catastrophe after another I have long ceased recommending this (ahem) salon/spa.
User review by ginger24 – On my last visit to Bella Rinova, I had the best massage! The therapist was very accomodating to my requests. The staff is very friendly and they have a great little boutique where I bought a great necklace. I will definately be back again for more services.
