I needed flower arrangements for my grandmother's funeral. I've never ordered flowers for such an occasion before, and did not know where to begin. This location was conveniently close to my house, and the prices were very reasonable. After looking at what they had to offer online, I found one that I really like, but I wanted to order two. I asked them if they could make me one that wasn't advertised for the same price, and they were very happy to work with me.
With only one day to prepare the flower arrangements were gorgeously stunning. Just beautiful. I even got to see them early in the morning before the funeral. For a small price , the almost 5 feet tall arrangements were conveniently delivered to the funeral home, on time, before the guests arrived. Their hard work shined with professionalism, and a love for flowers.
Because of my experience i recommend this flower shop for any occasion.
Brides beware – My mom recommended this florist to me, so I disregarded my weary feelings about his lack of attention to detail. After getting a vague contract for my wedding flowers, I called him and expressed my concern. He told me I could add the additional details and then sign and fax it back to him. I did as he suggested. However on the day of our wedding three things went wrong.
1) I received eggplant cali lilies for the bridesmaids instead of white. The bridemaids dress were eggplant and you can not see the flowers in any of our photos.
2)My boutique was MUCH smaller than we discussed because they only included 8 small tulips not the 20 tulips I had ordered.
3) They left the cake topper at the front desk at the hotel our reception was at. It never got to the wedding coordinator as I specifically stated to the florist.
After being alerted to the problems, I called the florist and expressed why I was disappointed. He said he would see what he could do and call me back. He called my mother half an hour later and said that the boutiques would have to be picked up and brought back to his shop and then he would deliver them again but couldn't guarantee the time. His shop was 25 minutes away from the church and our wedding started in an hour and half, so of course I didn't agree.
I called him after we got back from our honeymoon. He apologized for the mistakes and said he would call me back once he spoke with the person who he subcontracted the job out to (Due to personal problems that weekend he had subcontracted this job to another florist). A week went by and I didn't hear from him. In the following month I called back multiple times and left several messages with his staff. I finally got a hold of him and he apologized again and asked me what I thought was fair refund price. I told him and he said that was fine, he would apply the refund to the card he had on file. Three months later and still no refund even though I've called every other week.
Terrible experience with this florist! – I ordered a "Premium" rose arrangement from this shop (via teleflora_dot_com) for my girlfriend's birthday and wow, what a disappointment! The roses showed up and they were very small, and brown on the edges. I've seen better roses (for MUCH less money) at the grocery store!
When I called teleflora_dot_com and complained they got in touch with the shop and the person there insisted that the roses were in good condition and that they would not replace them. I am still waiting to see what happens on the teleflora side of things, but I can guarantee that I will never buy flowers from "Blooms-The Flower Shop" again! Stay away from these folks...
Too bad you can't award 0 stars... – I ordered online for a Valentine's Day delivery and specified "AS SHOWN" (an option given by the website). The flowers were left outdoors on the doorstep and appeared to be old, as they were brown and drying on the edges of the petals. Additionally, they were the wrong color (one of the primary reasons for selecting that particular arrangement) and significantly undersized -- listed as 13.5"x14" online, it was barely 9"x9" in reality. For this wonderful product and service, I paid well over $80! A call to complain resulted in a promise that the owner would contact me; so far, no return call within a week and a second call to them resulted in the same promise... I'm not holding my breath but if I ever do speak with the owner, I will request a full refund.
Obviously the owner doesn't care about the quality of products and service they provide and apparently nobody else working there has the authority to do anything other than take a message when problems occur.
