NOT GOOD FOR MOTHER'S DAY!. My wife had lunch there recently with two girlfriends and was rather pleased so she made reservations for Mother's Day Sunday Brunch. She was told that they only open two Sundays a year, they otherwise do not serve on Sundays.

Upon our arrival, they thought they found our reservation but the first name did not match. They appeared perplexed but they seated us anyway. The buffet, although tasty, was otherwise average with not as much selection as we are used to in Sunday brunches.

The big surprise was when we got the bill. They charged $44.95 per person for the average buffet, plus $10+ for bottomless mimosas. My wife likes champagne so we had to pay by the glass. The total bill with tax and graduity came close to $140.00. The waiter was sympathetic and said this is the owner's decision. We asked him to pass on to the owner that he has poor judgement considering that one Sunday out of the year may be doing more damage for years to come. We certainly will not be coming back...!

My wife is still apologizing to me for not checking their pricing when she made the reservation.

Excellent food; ATROCIOUS service!. My husband and I visited PO Grill for a Valentine's Day (early) night out. We arrived before our reservation time and were seated right away...almost. The hostess took us to our table, which wasn't set up yet, and then made us stand in the aisle waiting for someone to set it up. We offered to wait back up front and the hostess agreed. Several minutes later, we were sat again only after the lead hostess questioned us why a table had been sat at the one we were supposed to sit at! We were greeted by the "head waiter" who was crass, inattentive, and rushed us throughout the meal. At one point he "suggested" we order as early as possible because the kitchen "was 20 days behind." Not something we needed to be told. Food was brought out to us on 2 occasions that we didn't order. When our food did arrive, my husband's lamb chops were over cooked significantly. We were sat next to a set of doors that swung open and shut constantly. The sound was a bit distracting. We are a young couple and felt a bit out of place among most of the older (much older) patrons. Food was excellent, but the service didn't invite us back!

Nice restaurant , not so shabby. We were really impressed with PO Grill. Actually pretty surprised since it has that high end look from the outside, but does not have that stuffy feel in the inside. My husband and I went there to have a nice dinner away from the kids. The staff were really nice and welcoming. Steaks are one of my absolute favorite meals and their bone in ribeye was well cooked and seasoned. I will definately be going there again for that meal. If you have a chance to stop by, we recommend this place.

Good food, fake service. Entree was excellent, but the server, whom appeared to be a tenured member of their team, was insincere and inattentive, and the wait staff appeared to be engaging in gossip talk about other patrons, which made me uncomfortable. I'd probably come back for lunch.

Try the Sugar Land location. Cosey dinning area, but its a great restaruant for Sugar Land. Different from the other suburban eateries with sand boxes and chicken tenders for kids, this resarunat is a bit up scale but not over the top. Our waiter - Patrick - was knowledgeable of the food prep, the wine list and quick to fill orders. The food quality is high and there is a lot of selection - pastas, beef, duck, seafood, salads...

I recommend the restaruant and making dinner reservations.

Good food, upscale atmosphere, service lacking. I went to the Post Oak Grill with my girlfriend during a business day lunch hour. It was packed when we arrived, but we were still seated promptly. However, we thought the Citysearch dress code was not accurate enough; this is a fine dining establishment and we weren't really dressed as we should have been. The service was not too great when we ate there, but the food was very good. I would recommend the sandwiches and salads, all look very good and what we ate tasted great, with enough to take home for leftovers. Prices are fairly high, but match the clientelle, a mostly professional/executive crowd from the surrounding offices and hotels.

Good place to eat lunch. I really enjoyed this restaurant. The staff was courteous and the food was delicious. I did not have to wait that long for my meal and it was reasonably priced. The location is also very convenient for me because it happens to be close to my job which is near a business location. I would recommend this eating establishment to anyone who is just looking for a nice place to have lunch.

The sounds of live jazz mingle with a balanced bill of fare in former President Bush's neighborhood.. The Scene
Maybe it's the proximity to towering condos, office buildings, and the buzzing Galleria, but the Post Oak Grill at lunch time always seems, well, bustling. Expect to see at least one TV anchor, tables of socialites, and lots of suits. First-time visitors are usually equally charmed by the colorful wall murals, and tiny white lights that add sparkle to evening meals.

The Food
The lounge is abuzz with live music five nights a week. Just a step away diners enjoy traditional classics and novelty side dishes in the big dining room or comfortable side porch, favored by those who prefer a more intimate space. An extensive wine list adds sophistication to this already classy joint, while the amiable waitstaff passes around impressive dessert trays that leave a good taste in your mouth.
