Wonderful Experience.
My husband and I dined at Piatto a few weeks ago and everything was amazing. It is a quaint restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. We started out with their signature appetizer, Asparagus with crab meat and their calamari. Both were absolutely incredible. For the entree, my husband had the lamb which he fell in love with. It was tender and juicy and cooked to perfection. I had their Chicken Breast stuffed with Three Cheeses and Spinach, topped with Marsala Wine Sauce, and
Diced Roma Tomatoes, served with Fettuccini Alfredo. They offer valet parking so it was easy to get in and out. I would highly recommend Piatto!
nice place, not too expensive. location is in a very difficult place, having to loop round and around. Food is pretty good, appetizers were great, we ordered fish, so that was good as well. Overall definitely will recommend. and we would go again.
Perfect for every occasion!. I have been to Piatto twice now. Both times, it was fabulous. The wait staff is very much on the ball, the food is exemplary, and the atmosphere leaves nothing to be desired. All of these things come at a very affordable price for a fun, relaxing, Italian evening out on the town. It makes me feel like I am at one of my big family dinners - everyone talking, great music in the background, excellent wine to share, and delicious food to enjoy!
Below Average. I had dinner here w/ a friend last Tuesday. We had the asparagus speciali for our appetizer. It was very good. I enjoy anything that's fried, even asparagus. I had the lobster ravioli for my entree & thought it was OK, but not good. My friend had the veal picatta which was also just OK. I think both of the entrees lacked much flavor. I didn't enjoy the food, but the service was very good.
Perfect example of a well run establishment. Simply put, this is exactly the kind of restaurant my family and I enjoy going to on a regular basis. The food, personality and service we have enjoyed over the years is constant and at a high standard. If you dine out regularly, add this one to your most frequents. The end.
The other Johnny Carrabba brings us a lively, Galleria-area ristorante..
In Short
A festive atmosphere and heaping plates of the Carrabba's signature American-Italian classics draw a steady crowd of diners. Menu higlights include the signature asparagus appetizer, lightly breaded and pan-fried, topped with crab and lemon butter. Sample healthy grilled meats, baked sea bass with mango and avocado salsa, multi-layered lasagna Carrabba, stuffed shrimp and a variety of pizzas. Reasonably priced wine selections.
One of the best kept secrets.... Love this place!!! I've always had a great meal and fabulous service. I'm a slightly picky eater and they always honor my requests to adjust dishes to my taste. This place is my hidden gem. Everyone that I've taken here has returned at some point and have told their friends/family. This place gets crowded at lunch with the Galleria corporate crowd but I've never had to wait for a table. Try it, you'll love it!!
Wonderful place to bring family!. I simply love this place. when i have business lunches /dinners this is where i dine. when my picky family members are in town or the not so picky for that matter, all i do is call and tell them how many and what time we will be there. when we walk through that door we are seated, drink orders are taken and here comes the appetizers. as a rule i hate asparagus it shows up either over cooked and or underseasoned, however john marion's i love. cooked properly with that delicate crab meat on top and the lemon butter sauce..... and the calamari YUM. i recomend going with a few people and ordering different items and sharing, especially for first timers so you know what you want to order the next time you dine there.
Fantastic place to eat. We have passed by this wonderful place every time we drove home from the Galleria so we figured it was time to finally make it in. Service was great from second we stepped out of our cars. Hostess was super nice as well as our waiter Gerardo. I realize now after looking at the city search page the owner was there and greeted us as well. Food was great. Nice sized portions. My wife is vegetarian and there are quite a few things she was able to order. I got the grilled chicken with olive oil. It as really good. The butter cake someone else mentioned was great as well. Maybe too big for one person though. I recommend making reservations. The place was almost full on a Wednesday night. i can't imagine what it is like on a weekend. The pricing was really fair. Honestly it might only be a dollar or 2 more the macaroni grill. Mixed drinks have a fair fair price and are quite large.
This place is great!!!. My family is good friends with John Marion. This restaurant is great. Everything about it is great. The asparagus appetizer is to die for. It is awesome!!!!
