“The Food was great including desert.”
“The food was just ok, the drinks were good, but 3.5 hours is too long to wait for poor service especially when18% gratuity added.”
“We enjoyed the food on the patio where the wind was cool and the waiter was too.”
“Well, I was recommended this restaurant as the best seafood place in town so I took my husband and a bunch of our friends (around 20) to celebrate his B-day.”
“recently had dinner there with my family and my fiancee's family, and although the service was outstanding, the food was average at best.”
“would have rated it higher but for one huge difference this time.”

Lot's of food.
All of the meals were in great abundance. The bread was very tasty but you have to be careful not to fill up on it. The crab bisque was loaded with crab meat. The gumbo seem a bit on the thin side but had an ok flavor and seemed more like soup than gumbo. The entre's were visually stimulating as well as flavorful.
All in all, bring your appetite.
Great upscale place. I love this restuarant. Nice atmosphere and great taking seafood. The Bisque really scored big with me, my wife, my in-laws who are from Iowa.
Wide Selection. The wide selection of fishes, as well as the variety of preparations makes this great. Nice interior, as well as good service. Only downer is the hefty prices.
Mixups in the kitchen are your fault?. After ordering a "snapper - willie gs" style (i.e. plain snapper with lemon butter sauce), we were served a different dish for twice the price. The night manager, said it was my fault and that he was being nice by letting me return the dish. I was about to leave when the bar manager, a true professional, Marvin, intervened, served me the dish I ordered, and allowed me to keep the other. The night manager returned to remind me that he was being nice even though it was my fault for ordering (?), and proceeded to snatch the old dish away from my fiance who was holding it in her hands. Let me say this: There are limits to the amount of outrageous behavior I will tolerate from anyone, especially those charging me $32 for fish I didn't order. This is no way to run a business.
Refreshing. The view was spectacular. The sunset was breathtaking. Living in the big city, there is hardly an astonishing moment. We enjoyed the food on the patio where the wind was cool and the waiter was too.
Great food BUT......... Willie G's has the best seafood dishes in town. I am from southwest Louisiana and enjoy fresh, well prepared seafood dishes. I have dined at many seafood restaurants in Houston, and Willie G's is by far the tastiest. It is slightly disappointing the increase in the cost of their entrees in the past 6 years or so, this prevents me spending more time there as well as the fact that they REFUSE to let diners split an entree <my daughter and I love to have appetizers and split an entree to be able to enjoy a variety of tastes for the evening> The serve large portions of food, but refuse to sell half orders or let persons split an order of food. This is unreasonable and bit ridiculous.
