Yum and Fun.
Champps has excellent service for Sunday brunch, and the food is always delicious. We had grilled salmon, fresh buttery vegetables, and lucious mashed potatoes instead of the huge buffet. You will take a home a doggy bag, so lighten up on ordering the appetizers.
My guy friends love the social bar set-up and the music which gives this place more energy than other sports bars. The service at the bar is not as good as the service in the dining area.
Champp's also has great burger specials on Mondays, so sign up for their e-newsletters.
What a nice surprise.
It was a beautiful day and my family wanted to sit outside for lunch. I had gotten a $10 gift card from Champps, so I suggested we try it.
Everything was much better than we expected. The menu is varied and there is something for everyone's taste. My gyro is very good, my son-in-law praised his double burger as better than his own version. That is one huge compliment from him. My daughter had the tortilla soup and Greek Chicken Salad, and both were delicious.
Every dish we saw being served looked extremely appetizing, and the portions are easily shareable.
We got there on noon on a Wed. and found parking, and were seated immediately.
The service couldn't have been better.
Our only complaint was the umbrellas don't work. They were damaged during Ike. Hopefully, management with rectify that quickly. Though it's only April, it was very warm outside today.
We will definitely be back.
Sports restaurant-bar draws fans who love the food as much as the game..
Using their original burgers-and-beer joint in St. Paul, Minn., as a base modl, this sports-themed chain is now a popular hangout for all ages nationwide. The memorabilia-loaded space is crowded with families and friends chatting over chili cheeseburgers, bourbon-glazed pork chops and large orders of soups and salads. On major game nights, the shiny wooden bar area is packed with small groups eyeing the monitors above while cheering or grumbling into their pints and fries.
avoid lunch. on my first visit friday for lunch ,i got an ok service.my experience stared by waiting to long at the door, siting down and waiting more then five minutes before we could get our waiter to get our drinks.wile waiting we look over the menu, wich is great, alot of choises from salads to pastas as well as desserts.I got the grill salmon whith mashpotatos and veggies .Not a good choices it took to long to get to me,it was cold and it tasted strange.it took me ten minutes to get a chek after i was finish.over all my visit was not as plesent,i give service a poor rating, food a worst ratting because it gave me stomach cramps for a day or two the place is great for waching sports.I personaly will not recomend the food and the lunch is an averige fouty to an hour times.Perhaps some other time
Worth a visit. This HUGE place has a nice split of dining and bar atmospheres. If you are going to eat, the prices are a bit high for the food quality, but the slection is large and the things I have ordered have been good. Service is average which only stings when you remember the prices. I hope the management continues to improve their employee quality so that I can become a more frequent patron. The bar section is nice and there are great meeting opportunities, i.e. good looking men and women abound.
Awesome appetizers. Great place for happy hour, 1/2 price appetizers. The cheesy crab bread and the buffalo wings were especially awesome.
rockin party. Now I understand why Champps is good!! Went there for the first time last night. It was karoke night. The place was packed, the music was great, and I met alot of new people. I will keep going back if it's that good in the future. And to top it off, the DJ, Jonathan, was fun, cute and kept the place going....
great twice in a row!. I gve another after work buffet dinner with drinks for our company. Again, the buffet prepared by Kristen ws excellent. She designed the buffet selections and was right on traaget with wht my 50 people would enjoy. Our wait staff was friendly, fast and effectient. I highly reconnend Champps for group gatherings.
Meet After Work, Stay til Close. Fun place...Great atmosphere. Love Karoke Night! Female Bartendars need to be a wee bit more attentive to other ladies - only complaint!
This is for the NEW location on Westheimer:
Fun, Friendly bartenders. I love that I can go in after all of the other restaurants are closed and get some good grub. Every time I go in, the staff makes me feel welcomed. Great place!!!!!
