“We love the food, the ambience and the service.”

This old-school Korean barbecue restaurant looks like somewhere from the past. When you step in the doors, the landscaped divider creates The illusion of being outdoors when in fact you're indoors. Intimate booths With tiled awnings make it feel like you're in a foreign land. The barbecue is good. The side dishes are better. Kimchi is excellent. Ask for the baby fish side dish.
A lovely time. I have a Korean girlfriend and while I'm no expert I have enjoyed a handful of Korean restaurants. I can honestly say this my favourite to date. Its location is somewhat sketchy but there's plenty of parking right outside so that's not a problem. The decor inside is plain yet naturally authentic - leaving you with a pleasant, calm feeling. There is nothing over the top about the place, the staff or the customers; and I mean that in the best possible way. Here you will find a host of local Koreans enjoying family meals together, and despite being the only non-Korean there I couldn't feel eyes burning into the back of my head (as I do in many other Asian establishments). The menu offers a reasonable selection and each dish includes English descriptions which was useful for me. The prices were a little above average (e.g. $14 for a noodle dish) but its worth paying the extra for a well-cooked, flavourful meal. And keep in mind that each entree includes a selection of small Korean side-dishes (Banchan) at no extra cost. If you don't enjoy the seasoned potatoes - there's something wrong with you. TIP: If you're going as a couple, one entree will probably be enough for both of you, and don't worry about getting stuff to go - they don't mind that.
Traditional Korean.
This was an authentic Korean restaurant that was very nice on the inside. Great ambient atmosphere, easy to take the meats out of the dishes, and prompt service. Only saw mostly Koreans eating inside, but all staff is able to speak english and explain what each dish is.
The dishes are are on the higher side for me (avg $14) but they are for two people (which we didn't know) and they also have a great lunch menu! I definitely recommend!!!
One of my Favorite Places EVER.
I have been eating at Korea Garden since I was 13 years old, I am now 22.
If you haven't had Korean Food before I would recommend the Bulgogi, it's DELICIOUS!
Another good one, are the beef dumplings.
All in all, this is a great restaurant!
Yum. My husband and I brought my 2 year old daughter there for the first time the other day. We all really enjoyed the food and had a great time. We saw a lot of other Korean families there, and that always says a lot.
Best Korean Food in Houston!. We drove 30 minutes from East Houston just to eat at this place! It was excellent! The spicy squid and bulgogi was fantastic! My husband was stationed in Korea and said that the food at this establishment was the closest to Korea that he's ever had! Spectacular atmosphere also!
Editorial Review. Only Korean items are served at this Katy institution, and offerings range from a wide variety of seafood to barbecue prepared right at your table.
Korean Excellence!!!. Exellent Korean Restaurant. I was taken there by a Korean colleague. Have been to many Korean restaurants here and abroad, but this is good. BBQ at your table, plenty of food and attentive service. I will take others there.
High Quality & Service. This is where I go for my usual Korean cravings like galbi. I not only like how the meat is seasoned here but it is so tender! I also recommend the seafood dish which serves raw shrimp, scallops, squid, and maybe one more that i cannot remember- all for you to grill at your tables. I also get their "neng myun"- a cold noodle dish that will absolutely cool you during the hot sweltering summer. Service is very attentive and the waiters are more than willing to offer their suggestions and translate/describe menu items. This is one of the oldest Korean restaurants in Houston, yet quality has not changed over the years. Highly recommended.
for something different try korean. I was introduced to Korean food by a co-worker about 20 years ago in Chicago whose wife was an excellent cook. But she didn't cook all the time and when we dined out at a Korean restaurant with them, we could be reasonably sure that it would be a) good and b) authentic. We've been living in Houston about 5 years now and we found this place right away and have returned many times. It is good and authentic! We love the food, the ambience and the service. We especially enjoy grilling meat at our table and sampling the lovely and excellently presented side dishes. One of the waitresses told me where to go to buy excellent kimchee. Try it once and you will be back!
Terrible!. Service leaves much to be desired. Bulgoki is heavily seasoned with black pepper. Bad service and unauthentic korean bbq.
