Tons of BBQ for cheap.
This place is great. I guarantee you it is the best BBQ buy for the money. I bet you can't eat the whole "All Mixed" plate. I like all the meats pretty well, they are all good. You can find better of any one particular type of meat at other places, but across the board they are good here. I like the beans, they have the right kind of beans for BBQ. I hate it when BBQ places have yankee beans (baked/sweet beans). I'm not a huge fan of their potato salad, but it's okay, definately not the worst in town. I'm not sure how long they have been around, but I know it was there as early as 1990... and the same guy is back there cutting meat today. I've never actually eaten in there (that I can recall), I have always taken it to go. It is no frills on the inside, kind of charming in a retro way.

Houston's Best Ribs!.
OMG, this is the BEST BBQ and best kept secret in the city! Mom & Pop sort of place with formica tables. No waitstaff but that keeps the price for their HUGE portions extremly low. It gets crowded at lunch but not so bad you can't get in and out in under an hour. The ribs are a MUST! They are so flavorful and tender that you can't help but eat yourself into a stupor. (I recommend wearing pants with an eleastic waist band!)
