No Answer on Phones, No Return Call – So far I'm disapointed, my builder selected them. When time came to schedule a set up, they did not return my call. I gave it a few days and called back. Now there is no answer other than the standard "your call is important to us...." BS.
Great customer service – I recently purchased a resale home and it was already pre-wired for security by Ranger American. I had received several offers for security in the mail, but the website and phone number for Ranger American was on the equipment. I did some comparison calls and was most impressed with Rangers professionalism and timeliness of scheduling an appointment for a sales person to come out to my home. The sales person arrived on time and didn?t make me wait. They were very perceptive to my needs and did not try to oversale me. I would recommend them to anyone looking for to secure and monitor their home.
Bad service too!!! – I was treated very poorly by their telephone reps as well. I noticed that the other posts that mentions this were from last year, so this has been a problem for a while. This did not make me feel safe so I switched to another company.
Great Technician - Poor Salesmans – The salesman (to remain nameless) said that there were no promotional programs currently in effect with either ADT or Ranger American. But, a month later, after installation and having visited the website - discounts/promos were abound. This was a disappointment.
The technician Mr. Montgomery was outstanding with his workmanship and explanation of equipment use. The equipment worked superbly. Everything was installed very cleanly.
I wanted Ranger American to add more security features but, reaching them via their web address has been impossible - only to have my emails returned. My only alternatives will have to be calling or visiting their Houston location.
agree with telephone customer service – I had a very unpleasant experience with one of their phone reps as well. Different circumstance, but pretty much had to talk to a supervisor as well.
ditto on bad customer service – Same thing happened to us like in the previous post, but it took 5 weeks for somebody to come out to fix our alarm. Can't see why Citysearch gave them a 7.8 rating.
rude customer service help desk rep – We bought a new home with their alarm system preinstalled. The system started malfunctioning and we setup an appointment to have a technician to fix it. Two days later they called me back to cancel the appointment, because they argued with me that they did not install the system even though the security console and the backup battery box had their information. They said that they had no record installing the system even though I confirmed with Ryland Homes that they were the ones who installed them. I got fed up with this person and asked for a supervisor who quickly settled the situation.
