“Food strictly ok, service bad”
“The taste is fresh, portions are large and the prices are just right.”
“slow service, order mistakes, slow ordering/checkout, etc... every time i crave some good persian food, i try my very best to avoid kasra if i want to have a pleasant and well serviced meal.”
A scientific survey was conducted among
those who whined incessantly about the service at this restaurant, Among other things, it was determined that all of them were still breast feeding even though their average age was 34.
They apparently took it to heart when their mommies told them they were "special" and it was just fine to p_ss and moan about everything and anything in public and that they were cute when they slung snot all over a public forum.
This restaurant is good, prices fair and is a treat for those familiar with Iranian cuisine. Not so, apparently, for those who haven't the first clue about what they are talking about.
Not to great. The food was just as the title says it, not to great. I won't be going back.
Best Persian Food in Houston.
Kasra is a great place to go with the family to enjoy Persian food. The owner is always there making sure the food is right and that the customers are happy.
My favorite? Koobideh combo
Family Place.
The hummus is really good. I do not like the blandness, i do not like their service, i do not know these waiters and waitress that all of you have talked about here, exist in the restaurant. My husband love the food so v go there some times.
The only thing is the good quantity for the price, the food is alot....
Citysearch Editorial Review. A meal at Kasra begins with piping hot flatbread, feta and fresh herbs and should ideally continue on with the garlicky hummus, fork-tender lamb shank in sour cherry sauce and kubideh kebabs on a heaping pile of dill rice. Leftovers are highly likely. The food is maybe the best in town as far as Persian restaurants go, which is why the spare, but rather elegant dining room is packed with both families and foodies during prime hours. Tucked into the corner of a nondescript strip mall in Westchase, Kasra is easily bypassed by the uninformed but a destination for those in the know.
Absolutely Wonderful!!.
My boyfriend and I read all of the reviews and decided to try this place anyway. We went in with the expectation that the service would be horrible and the food possibly bland. This could not have been farther from the truth! Our server, Max, was exceptional! Polite and attentive, our glasses were never empty and there was fresh, hot naan on the table before we even needed it!
The food was also a pleasant surprise. The hummus is full of garlic and absolutely wonderful. The naan comes steaming hot, straight from the oven and the complimentart herbs and cheese are delicious. I had the sirloin beef kabob and he had the filet beef kabob. I personally thought mine was better than his, but both were better than other Persian restaurants we've tried. The basmati rice is good, but I liked his sour cherry rice a little better.
All in all a wonderful dining experience, and also very reasonably priced. (Only $45 for 2 appetizers and two entrees, includes all the bread and herbs and cheese you can eat!) Don't be dissuaded by some of these negative reviews! We will be back very soon!
SUPER BLAND food.
Very mild, no flavoring in the chicken and beef skewers. THe rice was very dry. No kind of sauce was offerered. In other restaurants they have white (tahini?) sauce and hot sauce. They finally brought hot sauce, which turned out to be....Tabasco sauce! Did not go with the meal at all.
Not going back ever. The food is terrible, except for the hummus.
Best Hummus & Persian food in Texas. This is the Best Hummus & Persian food in Texas. Everything we have had there has been excellent. it's great for dates, families, or meals with lots of friends & extended family. Call ahead if you have a big group. It's great for take-out as well...call ahead and it's ready when you arrive. The hummus, chicken barg, beef kubideh, and rice with berries are excellent. Also great is the yougurt with cucumbers or shallots. It's hard to stop eating the fresh bread served, herbs & feta cheese served before the meal.
Great food, service, and atmosphere at a reasonable price.
My husband, two growing boys (13 & 10), and I went to Kasra this evening. We got there about 5:45 and went prepared for good food with lousy service in a sparse restaurant. My love for hummus overran my fears.
Not one of the bad reviews I read was true. The restaurant was nicely decorated and our server, Farzad, was attentive and prompt. The food was outstanding and reasonably priced. The hummus was better than imagined. I took some home for later. We live in the NASA area, but will be back soon
