Who did they bribe to make the Top 10?. Perhaps I went on a bad day, but this was by far the worst BBQ I have ever had. I should have known something was suspect when we pulled up and the parking lot was empty. I ordered the BBQ ribs with cabbage and potato salad. The ribs were tough and chewy and the cabbage was super sweet, like they had been cooked in maple syrup. The potato salad was the typical store brand potato salad. Nothing special. The BBQ sauce had the weirdest taste and consistency. Had more in common with Prego then it did BBQ sauce. Don't be fooled by the "sweet" tea because it tastes just like regular tea. Its definitely not worth the money (we spent $30).

IGNORE ANY POSITIVE REVIEW. I went to this disgrace a few days ago with perlanera( read her review) and as a native texan I'm upset that this is being passed off as texas bbq. I ordered links, brisket, beans, and green beans(because the only other sides were potato salad and cabbage which she got). The beef was dry, however it did have a nice smoke ring that was smoked on days earlier because this was not fresh bbq. The links could have been steamed b/c they had no bbq flavor. The bbq sauce was lumpy in appearance and tasted like it was made from canned pasta sauce or that sauce from alphabet soup. Neither of the beans had been cooked with any care. They were canned beans warmed and a horrible combination of spice poured on top. Lastly the sweet tea was about a sweet as this review. This city is full of great bbq, dont settle for this

Rib-sticking+ food. Even the plus-size baked potatoes here are a meal in themselves. Come here ONLY if you're really hungry! The food was good, the portions generous, and the help friendly and helpful. I wish the place was a little more "polished," particulary the railcard, previously the bar. It's now a BYOB place, the liquor license having gotten too expensive. Patronize places like this so we don't have to go to Olive Garden -- or all those chain restaurants! Dee's owned it for many years, and he's a local, hard-working business owner.

Great BBQ. I have tried many BBQ Restaurant's in my time and I think this is the best yet. The owner(Dee) told me he only uses Oak wood to get that great flavor. No or little rubs and sauces are used to keeping the meat the way it should be. When you go you will also notice the HUGE portions you get. So much great food for a great price.I look forward to going back. I love it.

Don't eat the BBQ!!!. They should be ashamed to call this a BBQ joint. I made three trips before I complete wrote this place off. The brisket is tough and chewy like you wouldn?t believe, the ribs are a bit better, but someone needs to tell these folks how to smoke meat. The side orders have the weirdest tastes; I swear there was banana pudding mixed with my potato salad. I ever had my friends try it and the said the same thing. It?s a really neat looking place and very clean and well kept, except for the office set up in the middle of the dining room. On the first two trips I notice several people eating steaks, catfish, and chicken fried steak, but didn?t think much of it. On my third trip it came to me, that was what everyone was here for it wasn?t the BBQ. I overheard two guys talking and they were laughing at me for eating the BBQ. I leaned over and asked about their comments, and they said ?stay away from the BBQ it?s like shoe leather, try the catfish, it?s all you can eat and it?s great.? Well, with me it?s three strikes and your out, so I won?t be going back to try the balance of the menu.

Best BBQ In Houston. Having been born in Texas and living here my whole life, I know good BBQ. RRXING with their huge portions and great bbq sauce is right at the top of my list. The train car setting is so unique and the friendly service makes this place a MUST visit. However, I've just learned that you better make it a lunch visit because the owner Dee is planning on spending most of his summer evenings fishing.

Very cute place and best Texas BBQ I've had.. My husband I have tried lots of BBQ places in the Houston area....... I think this was a cute consept w/ the train theme. The owner Dee Johnson was very nice and humorus w/ my husband and I as we sat there and ate some awsome BBQ. I had the mixed plate of link and moist ribs!, 2 huge sides of the green beans and coleslaw that was great. I loved his BBQ sauce it's made in-house Dee told us. As far as my husband He had a huge sirloin steak w/ a HUGE baked potato made to perfection. The two of us took so much food home we had tommorrow's lunch too........ For the quality, portions, price and service we've given it 5 stars.

Thank you Dee we will be back!

Try It... You'll Like It. *We're always on the search for a good place to eat...and we found one of the best. Had heard about Railroad Crossing BBQ for years, but never seemed to get to that side of town. Will definately go back because the food was great. ...Atmosphere was fun and the vegies were exceptional. Worth the distance, and I will go back. Highly recomended...
