Kung Food!!!. I love authentic Chinese food and there are like alot of run down Chinese buffets that aren't that good out there. The shrimp fried rice and the sweet and sour chicken are the bomb! Alot of chinese places are raising prices for smaller portion but this place has good portion size and quality along with it. I come in with my family of 15 and we are always sat down immediately and fastly. I love my own individual plates so I don't have to share with my wife kids and family. I am stingy when it comes to good food. Recommended!
Best chinese food in NW Houston - Period. Simply the best delivery in NW Houston - Period
Good food, bad lady. Great food. Sadly though, after years of patronage, my wife and I are done with Shanghai Inn. Every time we try to place a carry out order, if the woman answers the phone it is a disaster. She's rude, rushes you, and today she didn't even place my order. If they fired her, we'd go back.
Last Of The Sit-Down Chinese Restaurants.
Consistantly good food at a reasonable price.
A far better choice than the countless warmed over buffets out there.
Editorial Review. Neighborhood Chinese restaurant offers a wide variety of standard and unique Chinese fare to its loyal clientele in northwest Houston
Chicken W/Black Sauce. I have been a loyal customer of this resturant for over 13 years. The Won Ton soup is the best ever and their lunch specials can't be beat, but the best is Chicken with black bean souce, a little spicy but very tasty!
so-so food. After hearing all the positive reviews I was looking forward to eating here. We ordered wonton soup which had lots of flavor. The fried rice was very bland, but good once doused in soy sauce. The breading on the pork steamed dumplings was too thick and starchy - we ate the meat instead. The food was very inexpensive and the service prompt.
Tin Tin of the NW side. When I moved to the NW side from the Village area, I was bummed about having to give up Cafe Tin Tin. Chinese delivery is, after all, the perfect hangover food, and Tin Tin was the best. Then, I found Shanghai Inn - on Citysearch, no less! The food is almost as good as Tin Tin's (which is saying a lot), and I'm back on my day-after dumpling medication. Awesome pu-pu platter and dumplings. Fried rice was a bit under spiced, but nothing a squirt of soy won't fix. Rock!
Delivered to our door!. We loved the food and the quick service at Shanghai Inn. We ordered delivery food and they brought delicious food hot and fast to our doorstep! Thanks for a fabulous Friday evening!
Delicious!. I have been to this restaurant several times and the food is great! The wonton soup is great, the egg rolls and especially General Tsao's Chicken! The prices are great . . . the only problem is every time we seem to go there, there's only one waiter/waitress but we really never even wait that long for our food. Overall, a 10!
