“Terrible customer service and Installation”
“Very expensive carpet, and not installed with the proper corn cob pipe tools.”
Bought laminate flooring from a big box
store, but the product was back-ordered, we needed to move in our house quickly, went to jacks carpet just recently and talk to Frank he gave us advice and made color suggestions that flowed better with our furniture and paint, our floor was delivered and installed a week ago; looks awesome the color is great.
Thank you for making this a painless purchase.

I recently had my carpet install by
this company, I had done business with them in the past ( Katy store ) did not have any problems, this time I needed more carpet for my rental home, read about the bankruptcy decided to give them a change, because i was told it was a reorganization, well let me tell you they delivered even quicker than the first time.
Give these people a chance; all companies go through problems carpet was installed quickly and the guys were very nice and professional.
I was very pleased with Jack's Carpet! The salesmen and installers were awesome and delivered my flooring as promised!! I would recommend Jack's to everybody!!!
We hired Jack"s carpet (Jerry...don't believe a word he says) to provide and lay tile at my 80 year old parents new home. Jerry assured us he could have the tile within two days maximum and that the tile would be laid the following Monday. We are now two days past the time the tile was to be laid and Jerry says he doesn't know when the tile will be in and that "Jack" is involved and working it himself. Our entire move in schedule for my parents was built around the tile going in two days ago. Don't believe a word they say....
I had a great experience. It seems that this place might be hit or miss by all the reviews I see, but I had a great experience, and thats all I can speak of. They were very attentive and nice. The couple of times I went in they remembered who I was and remembered what we had talked about. It was installed quickly and effortlessly. I'm totally glad I went to them for my carpeting. It's super nice!
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM JACK'S CARPET. I recently relocated from Houston, TX to San Diego, CA for work in sales - upon putting my home on the market I needed to replace the entire house with new carpet. Purchased the carpet in middle of June, with promise it would be installed the following week on Thursday - got a frantic message from the sale lady saying the carpet was backordered, normal sales process and would I switch to another type of the same color, same price - I agreed, signed the forms and was promised a delivery would not be affected.....well Thursday came and went, and no install - I call Jack's 290 location and they are shocked, the sale lady Jenny Dawson left town for a family emergency and Frank (GM I guess, that was a struggle finding a decision maker) and Christine Damato (spelling?) said they would check in on it and they confirmed it would be done that Satuday.....well that day came and went and another promise undelievered by Jack's Carpet 290 location. Needless to say all of the delays, kept me from having another subcontracter finish baseboard and touch up paint work - all in all a 4.5 week delay in putting the house on the market which is disappointing to say the least. Worst part is it is October 1st and no one has returned any of my calls, Christine quit calling me back after she admitted to me they have had a rash of bad customer service and they were working to correct - she had my contact informatoin and said Kurt Sizemore (spelling) would call me back.....NOTHING - I called Jenny Dawson, who relocated as is no longer working for Jack's Carpet, she said call Shirley - Shirley was standoffish at first but in the end helpful, she put a note on Kurt's desk Tuesday of this week (today is Saturday) and gave me his office number....nothing from Kurt so I am not surprised by BigJKD's response above.....when you obviously have a terrible customer service attitude from the top to the bottom it shines through. I have welcomed, even encouraged them to speak to me as I too am in sales, with customer service like this I wouldn't expect to be in business long. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY, you will be severly disappointed regardless of price, SERVICE apparantly is a lot art and maybe one that Jack's has never had although I doubt Jack Sr. started a company with customer displeasure in mind. In my opinion this company doesn't even rate one star.....BUYER BEWARE!!
DO NOT USE JACK's CARPETS.
I went to the Jack's Carpets in Copperfield for flooring. I am having new furniture delivered on Monday and wanted the flooring installed before then. I bought and paid for flooring on the promise that it would be installed Friday July 22, 2011. I scheduled a vacation day off from work around their promise.
On Thursday, July 21, at aproximately 3:56 PM I got a confirmation phone call stating that they would be there in the morning. 9 AM Friday July 22 I get a phone call from a guy named Norman who says that they only have one crew who knows how to do the type of flooring I bought. He said that they had a "bigger" job in Conroe that the were going to do and my job would "just" have to wait until Monday. When I voiced my complaint he said that the installation department didnt get the install order until the day of the install and so they had no way of knowing they had two jobs like this. I said that wasn't a good way to do things and he said "I know it's a bad system but its the way we do things".?????? At this point I was very upset. I went to the store to get a refund and they tell me that refunds have to be done "offsite". I got the number to Kurt who was supposed to be able to help me with my refund. He only made me more angry.
I lost a week's time of trying to find a good contractor to have this install done based on their promise. I lost $600 worth of vacation time around thier promise. The really bad thing was, when I got out of their store, I went one block away, got a very similar style and quality product for less than half of what they charged me and done THE SAME DAY which they couldnt do and told me no one could.
Terrible Customer Service and Installation. Installers were totally unprofessional and messy, additionally, they kept dropping their tools on my wood floors even after I asked them to be careful. Did not clean up and on top of everything else cut the wires to my alarm system so it costed me $150 to repair and just out of common decency they would not even refund half to me, I will never use them again. The Warehouse is totally unprofessional. I wish I had gone with Carpet Giant.
