“The fried shrimp was cold, the fries were greasy, and the coldslaw was warm.”
A colorful seafood restaurant for kids of all ages--especially the younger ones..
In Short
Admittedly kitschy, unavoidably noisy, this Red Lobster for rug rats is like an oversized seaside shanty awash in oceanic memorabilia--fishing nets, souvenir trinkets, plastic flotsam and jetsam. Staffed with a lively crew of G-rated table-dancing servers, the family-friendly chain anchors its menu in all things crab: Crab balls, crab cakes, crab dip, crab gumbo. Finicky children opt for corndogs or hamburgers; shellfish-phobic adults dine on rib eye steak or mesquite-grilled chicken.
I don't know what dirt tastes like, but it HAS to be better than this!. This is hands down THE worst seafood I've had in my entire 26 years of living on this earth. The shrimp scampi were rubbery, the stuffed shrimp were awful, and the rice was horrible. I would have done better by going to the grocery store and buying a microwave seafood dinner. The food took an extremely long time to come and the place had no more than 4 other parties there. I'm an avid seafood fan, and I've eaten at the majority of the chains in Houston. Joe's ranks dead last in the taste department and I would not recommend this to your pet dog.
joes the best. joes have the best seafood i ever tasted and i highly recommended joes... its way better then krogers seafood...
worst seafood in Houston. This is by far the worst seafood in the city. You get better seafood in the freezer section of Randall's or Kroger. The fried shrimp was cold, the fries were greasy, and the coldslaw was warm. I have given this place a second try and the second time was as bad as the first. Long John Silver puts this place to shame...and that's not saying much.
