Worst Seafood in NW Houston!!!. We ate there on 1/14/12. This was the worst inedible seafood we have ever had. The fish was cold, strong fishy taste, rubbery and soggy. The fried shrimp was way over cooked and basically it was like eating a sheet of paper with batter on each side. Very very tough to chew through. Even the fries were nasty! How do you screw up fries??? They were cold and soggy. The food was nauseatingly disgusting. I can say one good thing about the restaurant... Kevin T was our waiter and he provided us with great service. Unfortunately he does not cook the food.
Terrible Experience.
This was my bf and my first time at this location - we will never go there again. From the moment we walked in, the people were rude. The restaurant was mostly empty, but we could see many tables with no one at them and yet they gave us a buzzer and told us we had to wait. We asked about the empty tables and were mostly ignored. Then they tried to seat us at the bar. We wanted a table and the woman that seated us gave us major attitude that we wanted to sit somewhere other than the booth at the bar. The young woman that took our drink order seemed nice, we both ordered water with lemon, and she promptly brought us water, but no lemon. We asked three times for lemon - as she took our order, she said the lemons were begin cut. The last time being when she brought our salads and bread (the salads were not fresh, there was no butter to go with the bread, and one of the bread plates was dirty). Finally my bf walked to the bar and was given a glass full of lemon wedges. When he showed the waitress that he had already found some lemon, she walked away and never came back to our table.
We waited and watched as she bussed tables, and served other customers, but she never came back to retrieve our salad bowls, or check on us, certainly not to bring us our food. After waiting for over 1/2 hour, we asked another waiter to find the manager - who never showed up. We walked out - since it was obvious we were not going to get to talk to the manager or be served.
I personally do not think there was a manager on duty - the place seemed to be in limbo, with no one directing or making any effort to seat people quickly or serve them. There were many tables that had not been bussed with the check and dirty dishes still sitting on the table. Almost everyone we dealt with was rude, with the exception of the bartender.
We were prepared to spend around $100 for a nice crab dinner for the both of us - needless to say, we took our business elsewhere, where we were treated right.
Casual crustacean-inspired chain serves up diet-defying seafood dishes in a family-friendly environment..
In Short
Live lobsters wriggle in a tank inside this seafood emporium, where nautical-patterned booths and colorful, fish-shaped tables in the bar area add subdued touches of whimsy to the room's classy dark wood accents. The menu can be downright decadent, with starters of artichoke lobster dip, seafood fondue, and crab-stuffed mushrooms. Entrees feature lighter, grilled fare like mahi-mahi and North Atlantic sea scallops, along with signature lobster dishes, snow crab legs, and jumbo fried shrimp platters.
Lousiest place to dine. Seafood (?) it comes with a lot, and I mean a lot! of pasta..
If you want seafood, this is not the place. The shrimp plate we ordered, it mostly pasta and very few pieces of shrimp.
The seafood gumbo, was mostly -or should I say exclusively- rice. Almost no seafood.
If you want cheap, you are better off at Golden Corral.
We will never return!!!
