gulftech engines. these people are money hungry crooks. Said they were going to install a long block for 1595.00. Then charged 1203.10 over what I was qouted. Then when i got my pickup back had an oil leak because the seal was not properly installed or had not been replaced. I will burn this truck before take it back. I will have to pay at another place to pull the transmission to end thier screwup job. Please stay AWAY!

Formal review on hold, currently in dispute. I will be updating this review as soon as our formal dispute and resolution is agreed upon. We too had a negative experience with Gulftech Engines and have sought financial compensation for what we have clearly outlined as deficient service repair, inflated cost compared to quote, and extended repair times versus the original completion turnaround.

STAY FAAARRRR AWAAAAAAYYYYYY FROM THIS PLACE!. I was given a quote of $2,400 to put a new engine in my car when my car was complete after waiting 2weeks my total came to $4,852.27. Wow what a price jump.... Just 5,00 miles later after installing a NEW ENGINE a shop noticed OIL leaking from my oil pump housing area. I made an appointment with GULF TECH ENGINES whom installed my NEW ENGINE and told them EXACTLY what was wrong with it and where the oil was leaking from. I was told it would take 2 to 3 days to fix it, which turned into 5 days. I was told THEY DID NOT FIND A LEAK but they replaced my oil dip stick tube and 2 small gaskets on top of my engine and was charged $169.00. Got my car home and parked it, hours later noticed a fresh oil spot underneath my car... Took my car back to the guy who fixed replaced my oil pan gasket and WE looked under the car and guess what..... It was STILL LEAKING FROM THE OIL PUMP HOUSING.....so i called GULF TECH and was told ALL OF A SUDDEN MY CAR WASN'T LEAKING WHEN THEY HAD IT A FULL WEEK....... GULF TECH ENGINES ARE CROOKS AND RIP OFF'S. DON'T TRUST ANYTHING THEY HAVE TO SAY....... WISH I NEVER FOUND THIS PLACE, NOW I GOTTA PAY SOMEONE ELSE TO DO THEIR WORK...... F*CKING CROOKS.

heartache and misery. please stay away. I do not want anyone to have to deal with all the heartache and misery we have had to deal with. Gulftech is awful

Very Satisfied Customer. In reference to other post before mine obviously they are not telling the whole truth to the matter because

I too had an engine installed at the company and this company was very upfront because everything was in writing and was told before I even had my car towed in. Mr. David told me things that other companies did not tell me when I called around getting quotes. (I found out also that some other companies are not even members of the _ _ _). He called me like he said he would to tell me what else my car needed before he continued with other repairs. I am very pleased with this company and I would recommend it to everyone I know because I have a excellent running car with affordable repairs. 10 star company!!!

Mis-Understanding Alright....... What can I say but this David guy is very deceptive - Called and asked for a price on a 300 CID long block - $650.00. Then asked what is would cost to have it installed - $1699.00. Said OK. Next thing, David was quoting $5400.00 for extra parts? Got a list of these extra parts needed - like $31.00 for (6) spark plugs and many other 2-3 hundred percent marked up items? Asked if I could supply the "extra parts" said it would void my warranty. Make a long story short, even though he came down to $2900 (but would not give a list of what they were going to do, and said it could still go up in price) I decided to pull the truck and went to Thunderbolt - They gave a firm quote and stuck with it.

Major Miss understanding. There was a major miss understanding with the payment arangements. I spoke to a mechanic named david, he gave a price that was affordable and worked in my price range. If you happen to have a motor problem give david a call and he'll get you back on the road. Thanks for the service.
