Finally got transfer credit. I have to say that after using two other NACES services I finally managed to get some of my Indian credits transferred towards my Bachelor's degree. I saved thousands of dollars for credits I don't need to retake in the US. The evaluations by the other two services recommended credit but were not convincing to administrator of my college. I would give five stars but the application process could have been a bit clearer. Otherwise, thank you guys

Solid Company. I work has an administrator in local school's admissions office. We generally refer our students to SpanTran. It has been our experience that they are generally faster and more comprehensive that any other service. Most students seem happy with their evaluations and get them within two weeks (much faster than advertised). I would recommend this service. I am posted in response to Rev20007 posting who just seems annoyed that they didn't get what they wanted.

Biggest scam, don't waste your money, you will get f#$%2ed. Absolutely the worst company I've ever dealt with. Good luck if you hire this freakshow. The useless associate told me after an hour of arguing and fighting for my documents that he appreciated my anger and frustration. Yes, he appreciated it and told me before I was angry that there was no need to get angry(Now that pissed me off as prior to that comment, I honestly wasn't angry, just confused as to the complete nerve and stupidity of Spantran & it's employees). After the comment, I did lose it though and asked for management. Manager couldn't speak english and said I needed to put all requests in writing. What a crok a crahp. SPANTRAN should be called SPANSCAM. $136 FOR EXPEDITED SERVICE and the document reads 'completion of schooling and National Certificate received yet testing not completed'. So let me get this straight, I completed the schooling(I know I did because it was me back in 1990 completing it myself, YES MYSELF) and I was given the National certificate by the Government of my former country Yet SPANTRAN says I did not complete the testing. I have since read hundreds of poor reviews on ripoffreport, merchantcircle, agieslist and other consumer review sites. I wish I had checked before hiring them. Something also tells me that the very few positive ratings they have, are written by Spantran for Spantran

Extremely supportive!. I came across Spantran after going on the TEA website whilst in Texas. From the very beginning I was able to receive clear advice/guidance regarding how best to go about the evaluation of my European documents. So Far So Good. I just dropped off my documents today. I was very hesitant given some of the horrible, negative reviews on this site, but was pleasantly surprised.

Marianne received my documents and was very courteous and apologized for the wait. It is not her fault. When you arrive you take a number and a seat and wait your turn. There are only two windows for 'new clients.' There were six numbers ahead of me and I waited about an hour to be called. The only problems I observed were with the 'customers' and not the staff. Several people ahead of me seemed to have arrived unprepared and not clear on what they were trying to accomplish.

This is an EDUCATIONAL validation system people - it is up to you to do your homework and come prepared! I found and filled out the application for services on line and followed all the instructions exactly. When it finally came to my turn I'd say I was over and done in about five minutes.

A young woman came in after me and after about 10 minutes was stewing and ranting and fuming about the wait because she was 'in a hurry.' Don't go here when you only have a few minutes to spare! You are handing over important documents and the staff needs to pay time and attention to each person. Plan to spend an hour or so waiting, bring a book and you'll be fine.

Finally they did attend to this person who was so angry and they took care of what she wanted - then it turned out she hadn't brought enough to pay for what she wanted today!

My only complaint would be that the room was fairly warm. Most offices in Houston have the a/c blasting but not this one.

One final tip: the offices are actually on the back side of the building. So if you drive around to the back side you will probably find easier parking and then just inside the door you find a stairs - the office is just at the top of that stairway.

No clue regarding European System. After providing this company with all the info and copies of e- mail address of college contact person it took over a month to get any results.When questioned 8 times via e mail they refused to respond at all.

Spantrans only response came when I notified them I would contact the BBB their response was "this was their decision and they would not discuss it further.

They applied college hrs to high school and out of 1260 clock hrs and 140 days of practical gave credit for 30hrs.

My local college suggested reporting them after reviewing my transcripts.

unprofessional firm. Maybe, spantran is pretty well skilled in evaluation of Mexican diplomas, but as to European system of education, staff is not educated at all. They confuse terms, institutions, courses value, etc.

Because of that, they deceived me saying they got the confirmation from my home country educational institution, and then said "oh sorry we misunderstood the confirmation".

Another time, they deceived me saying they are ready to give me final copies in exchange of "pending" copies which they gave me earlier, but as soon as they got "pending" copies, they gave me another "pending" copies, but with changed results.

The complete evaluation took half of a year (!!!!).

All my friends who used this firm said spantran is the most expensive one.

Good Evaluation Service. I had to get my BA evaluated for grad school and SpanTran was suggested to me by a friend. There service was pretty good overall. I called to find out my status, had to go through an automated system and ended up leaving them a message. A nice woman called me back within a day and told me I should get my evaluation back in a few days, which I did!! I would suggest their evaluation to anyone who needs it for graduate school.

Great Service. I am leaving now to pick up and my completed assessment and googled SpanTran to find there address when I saw this bad review. I just wanted to let everyone know that SpanTran has gone above and beyond what I expect for any service company. They worked with me and help me meet my college's deadline. You guys are the best

Great Experience. My friend and I were both applying to Graduate school and agreed this was the easiest part of the whole admission process. We were warned by several of friends that all evaluation companies were terrible but my friend and I went to SpanTran because it was near our work and they completed our files most faster then what was advertised. They were able to answer our questions quickly and emailed me shortly after I submitted by application when they had need more documents. They did have some issue with their air conditioner when I went to pick up my documents but I assume they have fixed it
