Great place for friends. Me and my friends go there about once a year to celebrate. I love their breaded zucchini! If you have a sense of humor, you would love it.

Almost always a great time.. We have been there many times over the years, both at the old location and the current one. We have rarely been disappointed. Occasionally, one of the comedians isn't so funny, but not everyone has the same sense of humor. I personally don't care to see any hypnotist, as it just seems too fake, but that's just me. The drinks and snacks are good. Not sure why the person with the negative review went 3 times if they didn't like it after the 1st or 2nd, and I have never found the drinks weak. I do take exception to Citysearch's owner review calling it a "darn near family style comedy club", as most of the time, the comedians have pretty racy material, where the subject matter and language can get pretty rough, but that's fine with me.

Uggh. The shove you in and shove you out, inbetween the shoving they hassle you to buy drinks and make you sit through really bad comedy routines.

A darn near family-style comedy club.. In Short
For over a decade, the Comedy Showcase has provided comedy-seekers from Houston and points south a clean and, compared to the average cavelike night spot, well-lit club for live comedy. Strong colors throughout and the type of humor on its stage--rarely edgy or dark, black comedy monologues--give this Gulf Freeway spot a unique ambience. This darn-near family-style mood is enhanced by determinedly zany Warner Bros. décor.

Good Comedy???. My wife and I have been to this place at least 3x. Twice for a birthday and once for a "good time." We have been disappointed each time we went. You would be better staying home and reading a book than to visit this place. Also the drinks are weak.
