Terrific experience. I've been wearing glasses since I was 5 years old. Before my Lasik procedure, I had 20/400 vision. At my 1 week follow-up appointment, I was at 20/15! The entire staff at DEC is extremely professional and friendly. Their Lasik procedure room is really modern and sleek. Their equipment isn't even 1 year old yet. The procedure itself is really painless. I didn't feel any pain at all. They talk about feeling "pressure" during one part of the procedure, but I didn't feel a thing (and I'm kind of a wimp when it comes to pain!). The entire procedure lasted about an hour: 30 minutes to let the Valium set in + 15 minutes for the actual procedure + 10 minutes for the post-op exam. When I got home, I took a 4 hour nap (recommended by the doctors), then felt pretty drowsy all night, thanks to the Valiums. The next morning, I was able to read. At the day-after follow-up appointment, I was seeing at 20/15. If you're considering Lasik, I would highly recommend DEC. Doctors Sanders and Whelton are wonderful.

I have had corrective lenses for over 20 years. I had 20/400 vision prior to my Lasik procedure (8.17.12) and at my one week check up was seeing 20/15. I am so impressed with Dr. Sanders and his staff and highly recommend them.

Fantastic. I have been wearing contacts for 15 years. After the quick LASIK surgery, I am now seeing 20/10. I would highly recommend using Dr. Sanders and his. They are all very professional and were able to answer all of my questions. I've never felt so comfortable going into a surgery. Thank you for everything. I am one happy patient.

Best LASIK performing office in Houston. Diagnostic Eye Center has the distinct honor as being the most professional/delightful medical service office i have ever been to.

As you walk into Dr. Sanders' establishment you are immediatley welcomed with smiles and optimistic/posititve attitudes. The staff is all well versed in their positions, Mark did a wonderful job of setting my consultation and following up with me before and after the procedure. Peter did an outstanding job examining my eyes and explaining the entire procedure to me.

Dr. Marc Sanders was an absolute professional who has a charisma that makes you feel at comfort with him, which is needed for someone that you trust with your vision. He is a very personable individiual that displays a confident and calming presence. You will not regret employing him for his expertise.

As stated above i can not refer this establishment enough their caring attitudes and profesionalism is a very rare combination in today's medical business society.

GREAT EXPERIENCE!. At first I wasn't sure what to think about Diagnostic Eye Center when I first visited their location on Edloe. The building is a bit on the older side and appeared worn down (the elevator didn't look like it would close at first!). But after meeting the staff and Dr. Sanders himself, my fears were eased. They were extremely courteous and comforting throughout the entire process. I didn't feel like they were just doing my surgery to make money... they assured me that they were selective in whom they chose to take to surgery, which was reassuring since I wasn't sure if my cornea was thick enough to handle being cut on. An added bonus: the fact that they prescribed valium for me to take prior to the procedure. That definitely helped with my anxiety!

The actual location of the surgery is in Sugar Land - in a fancy new building with new, modern amenities. During the surgery, my husband read through all the pamphlets and informed me later that they used the newest technology for the surgery (including a laser that keeps track of the movement of your eyes so that if you look around too much, it'll actually stop). The only real "discomfort" I had during the procedure was the suction thing they put on the eyeball which was just a lot of pressure (it left some conjunctival hemorrhage which made me look like I was bleeding from my eyes. It eventually went away after 2 weeks though). The rest of the procedure was a blur thanks to the valium!

They recommend sleeping for 4 hours after the procedure but I kept waking up (I'm not used to napping in the middle of the day) and felt my eyes burning... more than I expected. But after 4 hours, the burning went away and my vision was 20/15 the next day at my follow up appointment! I had problems with dry eyes and halos at night during the first week, but by the 2nd week, those symptoms had improved significantly... which was a huge relief since I had problems with dry eyes even before the surgery.

All in all, I highly recommend Diagnostic Eye Center!!!

Worth Every Penny!. Dr. Sanders and his entire staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. They made me feel very comfortable and explained everything thoroughly, from the initial analysis of my eyes to the step by step process of the procedure. The next day I woke up seeing 20/20. I highly recommend Dr. Sanders and his staff for anyone considering lasik!

Best decision ever!. Dr. Sanders and his staff were so professional and friendly and made the process very easy. I highly recommend this to anyone who wears glasses/contacts and has thought about getting lasik! There's virtually no pain and I was amazed with perfect sight the very day of the surgery. I just had it yesterday and I already have between 20/15 and 20/10 vision! You will not regret going to Diagnostic Eye Center for your lasik!

Great service and staff! Couldn't be happier!. Went to 2 different places for the consultaion, one of them being Diagnostic Eye Center. They were by far the best in price and customer service. The other was almost twice as much and less informative. Procedure was fast and smooth. Didn't have any complications the day of or after. I would highly recomment this to anyone looking into doing lasik.

From another MD. My experience with the staff at Diagnostic Eye Center and Dr. Sanders and Welton was top notch. I'm an Internal Medicine resident myself and I contacted my ophthalmology friends who all spoke highly of Dr. Sanders. The entire process was streamlined without any bumps in the road. The procedure itself was quick, very little pain, and no complications thus far (1 week in and my vision is great). I highly recommend this center to everyone and especially to other medical professionals.

Best LASIK doctor. I had LASIK here last week, now my vision is better then 20/20, it's actually 20/10 one week post-op.

I healed right away, no dry eyes (biggest concern), no night time vision issues. They use a blade free procedure to create the flap, you will feel no pain.

They talk you through the procedure, they tell you what happens when, they even count down the seconds for the procedure, so you know exactly what's going on and when. It helped me, because I was concerned I might involuntarily move my eyes or try to blink, even thought the laser has a tracking feature and will follow your eye, and shut off if you move too much.

Boy, was I anxious about getting my eyes under a laser, but the staff and doctor Sanders put you at ease, give you a small prescription for Vicodin, ( not that that helped my nerves much :)) but I swear, you will feel no pain, and when you wake up from your recommended nap, you will think that a miracle happened.

Everybody there rocks! All the fantastic reviews you will read about this place are true, I was concerned they were writing their own praises, but my expectations have been exceeded.

I am so glad I have chosen Diagnostic Eye Center. They are the best, from the amazing Dr. Sanders, to the nicest staff. This is the place to go if you care about your eyes, they have earned a customer/patient for life!
