“very very cozy restaurant”
“Very nice authentic European decor; felt just like Italy.”
“17 years I've been eating at this restrauant and I find it to be the best restaurant to be served at and has great food including in that it has great live music.”
“Service was attentive without being overbearing.”
made a believer outta me!. I went to prima pasta with a friend who had a groupon..he is known to be the kind of customer waiters dred! As an app we got the sampler that was brought out by the owner, who had us very entertained, and all the food was very good. My friend ordered the salmon and I ordered the tilapia. While we were waiting on our food he went on and on how no one ever makes his salmon right and he was anticipating a huge dissappointment.....BUT he was proved wrong! The fish was cooked and seasoned perfectly. We finished with a peice of Italian cream cake and more conversation with the owner. When we left, my difficult companion even gave the owner a big hug. Needless to say, we are both sold. I reccommend this place to any and everyone!!!
Fabulous Food. I was taken to Prima Pasta on a date this weekend and was pleasantly surprised! The service was great and the food was EVEN better. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and my date ordered scallops...it was so good I think I ate half his food...lol...I dont kno if I will ever see him again but I KNO I will be see Prima Pasta again!
family favorite. This restaurant has been our family favorite for 10 years. We love to go out to eat but no Italian Restaurant in Houston even compares to Prima Pasta...we are excited because they opened another location on westheimer and Dairy Ashford!! Keep it up Prima Pasta!!
Best Italian Restaurant!!. I love this restaurant! I had a large party (including two children under the age of 3) with no reservation and the staff was very accomodating. We ordered a number of different appetizers and entrees and made our own little buffet and everything was fresh and fabulous!! The chicken marasala was the family favorite as well as Carla's Tiramisu! The servers were friendly and the owner went as far as to go to the kitchen himself and make us a sampler that wasnt even on the menu! We all love Prima Pasta and are planning my husband's birthday party there next month. You should definetly go to Prima Pasta, you will not be disappointed!
Sick From Horrible Food. Ate the eggplant parmesan Jan. 11th and it made me sick. I knew I shouldn't have eaten it because it was gray and didn't look right nor seemed prepared like any eggplant I've seen. The garlic bread is institutional. The margherita pizza was cold, raw tomatoes, spongy, bland and was sent back with one bite. The tomato sauce seems old-school institutional as well and is very unappetizing. The manager never came by with regrets since he was too busy flirting with a large table of senior ladies that had consumed a little too much zinfandel. Horrible food.
sick. got some food here on saturday oct 10 and made me sick, will never go back again
Best Restaurant. I don't understand the complaints being made against this restaurant. This restaurant is one of the top italian restaurants, contains friendly atmosphere and great food. The bad review probably was written because of culture differences. 17 years I've been eating at this restrauant and I find it to be the best restaurant to be served at and has great food including in that it has great live music.
very very cozy restaurant. Prima Pasta is one of my favorite restaurants. It's very cozy place to seat with bf or gf, listen to living music. I love a broccoli soup made of a lot of different and very fresh vegetables. My boyfriend likes pizza and garlic bread over there. He always orders extra garlic bread and almost lick it off from a plate. :-))
Disappointment.
I drive by Prima Pasta daily and my boyfriend and I decided to run to hide from the rain last night after craving pasta all day. I can't believe I wasted $30 on this restaurant . . .
You're immediately served slices of garlic bread that look and taste exactly like the frozen Pepperidge Farm loaf you can prepare at home. We started with calimari, which was over-battered and extra chewy.
I ordered the pasta primavera, which I should have sent back because I only ate about 4 bites of the pasta and none of the vegetables, which consisted of cauliflower, broccoli, and carrots. Prego sauce straight out of the jar is better than the red sauce served on both my pasta and my boyfriend's lasagna. My dish looked like something I attempted to cook for my parents when I was 7 years old- for $8.95.
Your best bet is to order the lasagna. My boyfreind scarfed it down since he had not eaten lunch that day, and only remarked that it was "blah".
There are a thousand fantastic, reasonably priced Italian restaurants in Houston . . . don't waste your time and money eating here. (Try Palazzo's, La Vista, Prego's . . . )
