“Liam gave me really superb highlights and lowlights on a really bad color job done at another location.”
“Arena is very near my office, I was hoping to find a good place to pop over during lunch for services.”
“Great place, great service, great people!”
“know a couple of reviewers have mentioned that the salon is expensive, but I don't think so.”
“The first strip was the worst but then it didn't take long and I was fine the rest of the day.”
Wendy is the best!. Well, I debated about writing this review because I'm not sure I want everyone to know how great this place is. Especially Wendy. Wendy has been doing my hair (haircut and highlights) for about 10 years. She works quietly on my hair for the entire time without the obligatory shop talk that seems to always happen elsewhere. She is busy doing my hair. She did my hair and make up for my wedding, at the wedding site. She does my mom's hair, my sister in law's hair, all my nieces and nephews hair, and my daughter's hair. I even made my husband go to her before our wedding so he'd look perfect. I would never go anywhere else.
Excellent stylist. Carolyn has been doing my hair for many years and she is excellent at what she do. If you are into hair care for ebony hair she is the Best. The salon is professional and she is the best manager Arena could ask for.
Great place, great service, great people!. I have gone to Arena for the past 3-1/2 years and have always been pleased with the services provided by William and Goldie. They saw me through chemo-induced baldness (and took care of my nails and wigs) and then through hair regrowth which is now curly and fluffy. They are warm, caring people who provide excellent and responsive salon hair and nail services. I have recommended them to many of my friends who are equally happy. My daughter sees William and loves his services also -- she had her entire wedding party go to Arena for pre-wedding makeup, hair and nails. It was wonderful!
Wonderful Experience. Great Experience. As a minority, I am careful as to how my hair is cared for. The Stylist Carolyn was great and her head massages are divine! I wonder if I can just pay for that - LOL! Loved it.
happy customer. I've been going to Arena for about 5 years now. I've always been happy with the stylist and the way my hair turns out. They could use a nicer receptionist though. There may be more than one, but the one I always seem to be greeted by has short-med blonde hair and always seems like she's mad at the world -- not the best quality in the person that greets the customers.
bad bad bad.
Arena is very near my office, I was hoping to find a good place to pop over during lunch for services. I should have known, when I called to schedule appt that it was not going to end well. The receptionist, at the very least sounded annoyed to answer the phone and book my appt. She was not friendly at all. Nor was she friendly when I walked in for my appt the next day.
She did not inform my stylist I was there, and I waited 15 mins before going back for a wash. He approached me like "are you being helped" when I said who i was , he was like "oh your with me"
He was very nice, pleassant, the decor in the salon is pretty. But.....it was the WORST blowdry ever..I said, I have an event, I need volume. I came out with stick straight hair...I have relativly straight hair to begin with. It was flat and plastered to my head. HORRIBLE. I came back to my office and my co-workers reponse was " I thought you were getting your hair blown out", she could not tell one bit of difference. I did not complain because nothing short of re-washing it and starting over would have fixed it. Since I started 15 mins late I had to leave.
I eneded up having to re-wash and doo everything all over again at home before my event.....not the best way to waste $40..
Best place for wax!. I reluctantly went for my first bikini wax to Arena on the recommendation of my supervisor and all I can say is WOW. First - if you go request LISA and only her! They may say she's busy or can't see you then I say call back or schedule another time because she is definately worth it. She made me comfortable and the way she does it was awesome. The first strip was the worst but then it didn't take long and I was fine the rest of the day. I will definately go back and try her facials that she told me about as well. I promise if you use her you won't regret it!
Beautiful Salon - Friendly People. I have been going to Arena Salon for many years and have been very happy there. I have sent a few friends and they have loved it too. The salon is beautiful and always spotlessly clean. With the exception of some of the receptionists, the staff is very friendly and makes everyone feel welcome and at ease. The spa services are wonderful, and my hair has always looked great. The location is great, and the parking is easy. I know a couple of reviewers have mentioned that the salon is expensive, but I don't think so. Compared to many salons in this part of town, I have found the prices to be very reasonable and fair.
Great Facial and Massage. My husband took me here as a birthday surprise, I received a great massage and a facial. I have difficult skin and after my facial I didnt have any problems for about 6 months. Of course I had not been back because of the location, but I would reccommend it definately. We even took my father in law there and he enjoyed a pedicure, massage, and manicure and at his 70th birthday he was thoroughly happy.
Management is very RUDE. I went in there for a interview, there website said that they were hiring for various position on which was a hair stylist and receptionist. They called me and told me that they were interested in interviewing me. My interview was at 11am when I got there they had me wait for 25 minutes before they FINALLY called me back for the interview. When I got back to the managers office she didn't even introduce herself to me she just snatched my application out of my hand and very RUDELEY said come in my office. So I sat down for 2 seconds before I was RUDELEY told that they didn't want to waste there time on a hair stylist and told me that they weren't going to do the interview now even though they already had my resume before I went down for the interview. If managments is this RUDE to someone who wants to work there I would HATE to see how RUDE they are to there customers. Would never recommend this place to anyone. I fanybody I asks I am going to tell them to NEVER go there they are VERY RUDE.
