My Ace in the Hole. I am all kinds of in love with this place. It is my go to when it comes to shoes. They have a good selection without being overwhelming. The selection is very

edited and focused. Great selection of salt water sandals. Living in Houston, I don't even bother with hard sole dressy shoes with smocked dresses in the summer anymore.

The toys are wonderful. A lot of them are educational, but there are a lot that are just for fun that trigger imagination and exploring. They also seem to have a lot of toys that encourage small children to develop motor skills - very tactile.

The customer service is bar none! Spot on service with a smile, intuitive and professional. This is the closest thing to old time Kaplans customer service I have been able to find. Bonus - they are a locally owned and operated business. I like that.

Website!!!. These guys are now up on the net! I'm really glad. I used to live in Houston but I moved out of state a while back. I am glad I can now shop there again. It feels like I'm still supporting local even if I'm not local anymore. At the very least I'm supporting a small business and not padding a big Corp.

I still have family in Houston with a lot of nieces and nephews. I needed a birthday gift but wanted the parents to be able to pick it to save shipping since they live close. I sent an email from their system and got an answer back immediately.

They asked me to include my brother's name and info so they could be sure who was picking the item up and asked me to be sure to check the gift wrap box. It's free on line too! And since I'm out-of-state I didn't have to pay sales tax either!

I just ordered the gift this morning so we'll see how everything goes, but I am very impressed so far. If I have time, I'll update how the pick up goes later.

Wow.. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but WOW! I visited the store on Woodway and that is what customer service is supposed to be. I went in to see if I could find something my son a daughter would enjoy doing together. The staff there asked me a few questions and then worked together to show me about 10 things that were just what I was looking for - I thought finding anything was going to be difficult. After seeing that they had shoes, I brought my son back the next day. The help and knowledge was amazing. And while my daughter will tell you when there is the tinyest thing wrong with her shoes, for the first time I feel confident my son is wearing shoes that actually fit. He loved the store. I can't wait to show my wife and daughter. This little gem is worth sharing.

Great local shop. It is hard these days to do the "buy local" thing especially with children’s toys. I am a trying to reform Amazon junkie who likes to shop at this store. This shop has all the quality brands for their toys and shoes and the staff will go out of their way to help with purchases. I do not want my neighborhood to be devoid of toy stores so I am going to keep shopping here as much as possible to keep them in business. The shop in the Village went out of business – will this one be next? If the other review that keeps only purchasing online keeps it up – just maybe! Yes, you may a few dollars more but I don't purchase that many toys for my kids so it is worth it to make it special and shop here.

So much fun!. This store is so much fun! They have a great selection of unique gifts. I also love their selection of raincoats and galoshes. Beware: If you take your kids inside...prepare to drag them out kicking and screaming.

I depend on this store!. This store is my "ace in the hole" when it comes to birthday gifts and nice shoes for my kids. Their toys are all "special," i.e. educational, classics, imported...and the shoes are good--they aren't going to fall apart!

They have the trendy things that the kids like, such as Webkinz and Crocs. I don't shop there everyday, but for special things I do enjoy checking here first.

This was OK. Not sure what all the hype was about with this store. Some of the toys are usual but not anything I can't get on the internet with no tax and free shipping. The shoes were an interesting twist but kind of random. I would not make a special trip for this.
