With locations scattered throughout the city, these fried seafood restaurants still sport their signature kitschy shrimp boat dining rooms. The décor is decidedly Gulf Coast casual with beer signs and other "life on the Bayou" paraphernalia. Though the menu is heavy on the fried fare, freshwater catfish and whole Gulf flounder fried with cornmeal crust are all worthy of a cholesterol splurge (as are the fries and hushpuppies). The raw oysters are a standard order here as are po-boys and cold boiled shrimp. Boisterous bar area.
