Best Portions in town.
I come into this place all the time I have never had anything on the menue that I disliked portions are huge and price is more than reasonable compared to most for the great quality of food that you get from Antonio's. The hostesses are prompt and food is always fresh. I recomend the Red Snapper what a great dish with that great sauce and the tender scallops that come along with it.

Affordable Medical Center/West U area Tex-Mex restaurant ideal for lunch and casual family dining..
In Short
A crisp and contemporary dining room welcomes visitors at this Tex-Mex restaurant located near the Medical Center and West University. The friendly waitstaff is quick to explain the daily specials and describe their various dishes, including the classic cheese enchilada plate, homemade tamales, tender fajitas and stuffed avocado. The crispy chips are served with fresh salsa, which is still warm from being cooked down. Mexican rice and refried beans are made with quality ingredients and the chili sauce is delicious, no matter what dish it's on.

Not authentic enough..
I lived in Mexico City all my life and know what mexican food is like. Have found two places were they have authentic mexican food in Houston, and Antonio's is not one of them. The red sauce tasted like ketchup with bell peppers and cumin. Contrary to popular belief, in Mexico, we rarely use bell peppers and cumin in our food.
It is average tex-mex, definitely not good mexican restaurant.
The service was not very good either.

No good at all..
Definitely very blend food. My recommendation is that they need to get a real cook/chef. Prices are to expensive for what you get and the lunch menu is too simple.
