The Scene
Evidence of a multimillion-dollar expenditure for the Houstonian's two-story, 17,000-square-foot spa is everywhere. A luxurious common area with a float pool as the centerpiece faces a glass wall of natural light. Underfoot, a stream of river rocks and water is covered by glass tile flooring; spa-goers literally walk on water. On the second floor, each treatment room has an obelisk of flower petal-specked, handmade paper hanging from the ceiling. A quiet relaxation area--called the Tranquility Room--is located upstairs. Private VIP suites can also be reserved.
The Services
Beyond the expertly executed body wraps, stretch-mark treatments, facials using Carita Maison de Beaute and Decleor Paris, Swedish and stone therapy massage and hydrotherapy treatments, the spa also has dedicated treatment menus for men, teens, recent mothers and mothers-to-be. The hair salon is equally haute.
The Details
Soaking tub, steam room, sauna. Massage, body treatments, wet treatments, facials, hair removal, manicure/pedicure, sunless tanning, full-service salon, makeup application.

I got the Active Pureness facial and really enjoyed it. The steam room and whirlpool bath are wonderful to enjoy before your appointment. My facialist Maria was very skilled- my face is so soft and clean. It wasn't the most relaxing facial I've ever had, but the results were there afterwards.

I am a member at the Houstonian and recently called to book treatments for myself and my husband. Two hours before the treatment time they called my husband and cancelled b/c the therapist had gone home sick. When I called to inquire in more detail they were rude and uninformed. They told me I was wrong and made me feel like an idiot. I love the Houstonian and until recently would've recommended Trellis to everyone. What a disappointment!

The atmosphere of this place is wonderful. The lunch menu is limited and so was the experience of the therapist. For the price we pay for, I'd figure the massages was going to be at least decent. The deep tissue I asked for was not even close. I guess we're paying for the facility.
