Outstanding place. Stayed on March 26 for anniversary. Wonderful experience. The people are so nice. If I needed anything, they were always willing to help. The hotel is so beautiful with a home-like feel. They are building some new pools so only one was open when we stayed, but it looks like it will be really nice. The health club was wonderful and the best for last....the spa. So nice. The people, the service and the massage was wonderful. My husband and I had a couple massage. I'd recommend that for anyone who wants a unique and nice anniversary experience. I hope my husband takes me back every year!

Excellent!. Attended a wedding in Houston and had the opportunity to stay here. Absolutely amazing. Service was excellent. Very nice, yet very comfortable, like home. You don't know what a cool place it is until you drive in and see the beautiful grounds. The food at the reception and room service were excellent. The health club...WOW. Awesome. Walked the green padded track through the woods. Went into spa but didn't use it. It was really huge and nice though. I would highly recommend this place. It's not cheap, but well worth the price!

What a wondeful experience. Wow,

My wife and I just stayed there for our anniverssary and her birthday. When we arrived, our room was not ready. The hotel checked our bags and gave us a limo to use for shopping until the room was ready. We were upgraded to the conscierge floor because of the delay and when we arrived back to our room for the evening there was a handwritten letter from the manager along with fresh roses, chocolate covered strawberries, cookies, and a bottle of champagne. I have never been treated so well by a hotel. the surrounding were beautiful and the staff was quick and curteous. We will be staying there again.

Although it sits just off one of the city's busiest freeways, the Houstonian Hotel, Club and Spa rests in a wooded area far from the noise of rush-hour traffic. The grounds include nature trails, three outdoor heated swimming pools and two 18-hole golf courses--one private, the other open to Houstonian members, tournaments and hotel guests. Available guest activities include boxing, martial arts, tai chi, weight training, rock climbing, basketball and squash. There are also three dining options and 28 meeting rooms.

Retire to the guest rooms, or one of nine luxury suites with terry-cloth robes and Crabtree and Evelyn soaps. A key-accessed concierge floor provides deluxe continental breakfast daily, evening cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and after-dinner treats.

Romantic Getaway. Who would've thought that there's a beautiful hotel surrounded by so much greenery in the middle of Houston? As a suggestion, go there during the winter. Everything is lit up with holiday cheer and at night the trees and gazebo outdoors are covered in white lights. The friendly staff and several activities added to an even more pleasant stay.

First Class All the Way. My recent stay at the Houstonian was first-class all the way ... from the friendly staff (everyone from the front desk to the bellhops to the valets) to the splendid rooms, excellent room service and on-site restaurant (the duck is incredible) to the spa facilities. The pool and whirlpool are superb, and that, in a word, describes my overall experience. I'll be coming back, time and again.

Wonderful Experience!. My fiance and I treated ourselves to the "Spa Weekend" for our 1 year anniversary! We arrived tired, were greeted with smiles and helpful information regarding our room, the property and printed itinerary for the Spa. The amenities were gorgeous, we felt like royalty when visiting the Lounge on the Concierge Level, sharing a cordial in front of the fireplace! In our room, lush wooded landscaping greeted us through picture windows. At the Olivette for our night out", our entrees were delicious, impressing us with the expertise of the chef. Sunday's Spa Day was more than we could have dreamed of; I was treated by my fiance to the "Beautifully Spoiled" package, we shared a room during massages and ate a superb lunch in soft cashmere robes! Our choice of the Houstonian as our wedding location in July the best we could think of! Thanks for making a beautiful experience!

Really good. Nice variety on the menu. Liked the Southwest Caesar salad. Fish of the day was nice. Had a business lunch there wtih a member of the health club. Would not have been my choice, but I was pleasantly surprised and will be back!
