Bad place to eat when its crowded. I went out to dinner on 02.13.10 , My wait was 1 hour,so we decide to wait. while waiting by the bar area, I purchased to Hurricanes @ $17.90 for two. We couldn't taste any alcohol in our drinks ,at this price we should have. We decide to leave after waiting 1 1/2 hrs. We decide to go to Danton's ,they was no waiting and the food was excellence. I learned one thing ,"they is no food that is worth waiting a hour for".

So disappointing, but never again!!!. I will never ever go back to Pappadeaux and likewise Pappacitos. The chain is overrated and over priced. Both places offer such small portions for the charge that I've vowed never to frequent a Pappas restaurant. I can only imagine how overpriced Pappas Steakhouse is for what one would be served. So disappointing, but never again.

Never disappointed. ALWAY great food, great presentation, great service. Never flinch spending big money. The Pappas Brothers know how to do restaurant business and should be teaching some others in Houston how to do service right. My hat is off to you for training your staff in customer service done right!! As well, Your desserts and coffee are fabulous but hard on my waistline!!

Part of a popular chain, this noisy, New Orleans-style fish house offers up satisfying cooking.. In Short
The Cajun and seafood staples here are darn good. The seafood-and-andouille gumbo is a hearty broth flecked with sausage, shrimp and crab. Blackened catfish filets are delicious, nicely spiced, charred and moist. Other standbys include versions of étouffée, po' boy sandwiches and fried, broiled and grilled seafood dishes. Crawfish appear in countless forms, from steamed to fried and beyond. The house offers a half-dozen breeds of oysters on the half-shell, available in sampler selections.

Good Food, Great Service. If you love Cajun seafood, and appreciate good service, it doesn't get any better than Pappadeaux. Any of the salmon specials are good. Get the bisque, get the etouffee, most of everything will make you happy. Share a crawfish trio with someone! I do not recommend the fried entrees. The portions are huge, but it's fried overkill. Noise and the wait will make you cringe, but the service will make up for it. Great waitstaff.

What I did on my layover in Houston. On a trip from Charlotte, N.C to Quito, Ecuador, with a layover of 6 hours in Houston. Most people would see this as a problem, not my husband and I, we saw it as a opportunity to enjoy cajun cuisine in our favorite restaurant. The food and the bloody marys were our priorty, and the service made it better. A order of a greek salad tossed fresh in front of you with ingredients of your chosing with a couple of delicious shrimp added. Then of course the greatest gumbo to come close to our favorite New Orleans Gumbo pot restaurant with a side of hot french bread. And if this was not enough then our main entree of blackened snapper with a creamy lemon butter wine sauce with lobster, crab, crawfish, and spinach and a side of dirty rice. We left full and content to continue on our trip to Equador.
