Houston >Fuzzy's Pizza & Cafe
“was not rude, just matter of fact that I didn't feel comfortable to eat there and wanted a refund.”
“The pie was tasty and the service a welcome change.”
“like the salad, drink and pizza combo.”
“I've been a loyal customer of Fuzzy's for over 6 years only due to the fact that the pizza is good.”
“In fact I think they would be extremely disappointed that a once friendly place to eat had deteriorated so much.”
“Pizza great; customer service great; prices fair”
“Mr. Fuzzy has been in business a long time and you don't stay in the pizza business in Houston if you don't serve good pizza at good prices.”
Horrible Customer Service!!!.
I have never written a review before in my life but after the horrible experience I recieved at fuzzies a few weeks ago I needed to find an outlet to vent. I am not from houston, I am from up north and was told my a friend that fuzzies has great food, so I decided to check it out. I was told they have been around forever like the last person on here said and obviously my friend would never have sent me to Fuzzies had she known what I would encounter.
The customer service at the counter is by far THE WORST service I have EVER encountered. I only ordered a couple things.. there seemed to be some confusion as to what I had ordered so I checked my bag before I left ( there is even a sign outside that tells you to check your bags before you leave). Everything was wrong in my bag, wrong sandwich..etc.. and this really wouldnt of been THAT big of a deal had they just said they were sorry and corrected it but they practically YELLED at me infront of other ppl saying it was MY FAULT for making them feel rushed.. make them feel rushed? I was simply just standing there with everyone else waiting.. I wasnt even in a rush! They belittled me, through my new bag back at me ( almost fell on the floor) and told me to never come back again.
I walked out practically crying and in shock, it all happened so fast I didnt even have a chance to defend myself.
Just before I joined here I read the other reviews and cant beleive other ppl experienced such similar things.
I'm filing a complaint with the BB B ( never did that before either)
If these guys were in buisness so long I would imagine that its probably recently these situations started happening or they would never have lasted so long.
I cant even comment on the food because I was so upset I didnt even eat.
My friend felt terrible and will never go there again as well.
The houston area has WAY to many choices as far as restaurants go.. don't waste your time here.. these are obviously not very stable ppl.
Pizza great; customer service great; prices fair.
The reviews that seem too ridiculous to be true are just that. UNTRUE! Mr. Fuzzy has been in business a long time and you don't stay in the pizza business in Houston if you don't serve good pizza at good prices. I'd bet my last piece of pizza (g-d forbid) that the reivews which cite ridiculous stories are written by competitors.
Go there -- try it once - you'll love it.
Great pizza - not so great price!. We have been loyal customers of Fuzzy's on Antoine's for over 12 years. They are very consistent with their pizza and salads. Our only complaint and the reason we don't give them 5 stars is we feel the price of their pizza is too high and they don't deliver. Maybe with the competition of the new Russo's New York Pizzeria off the Katy Freeway @ Blalock, Fuzzy's will rethink their pricing.
Mr. Fuzzy Serves Cold Pizza. Last night, my family ordered a Fuzzy's special. We waited over 35 minutes before I went up to inquire about our pizza. It was found on a back table and handed to me. It was cold so I asked for it to be warmed in the oven --- I didn't even request them to make a new one, just warm this one up. Mr. Fuzzy came up to me and said that he was too busy to warm it and I had to eat it cold! I stood there dumb-founded. I asked him again, just in case he didn't hear me correctly and he proceeded to tell me to go to Domino's if I wanted hot pizza. He said his kitchen was too busy. Well, Mr. Fuzzy, if you are too busy to warm your cold pizza, you don't need my business. Furthermore, I willl never recommend any eating establishment that is "too busy" to take care of his customers.
Best Pizza in town, but it is a pizza joint, not a 5 star restaurant!!!.
Okay...I finally have to comment because I think Fuzzy's is getting a bad rap. My family has ordered pizzas from there a couple of times a month for the last 10 years, and the pizza and salads are great!!
I will also say that many folks are somewhat right...you usually don't get the warm and fuzzys :-) from the staff, the wife can be a little cranky, but not always and they sometimes get things wrong. My thought is that this is a pizza joint, not a five star restaurant.
Have a little perspective folks. I certainly don't go there for the "customer service" or ambiance...I go for the pizza and I have to say that 99% of the time, I am more than satisfied...even when the wife is not in the best of moods!!!! If you know what to expect, know that they are not perfect and check your order before you leave (I always do)...you will be enjoying excellent pizza!!!
Good Pizza, Not so good customer relations. The pizza is good (as always) however, i have to agree with the other reviews, the customer service has slacked off in the last few years.--- mainly in part of the owner's wife. "Cranky" is the best word to describe the wife who usually is behind the cash register. It might be time to retire and enjoy life at home. perhaps hire someone in her place because she is making many customers change their minds about a memorial classic or send her in the back to roll out the dough because it will help with that pent up anger. I have been going to fuzzy's since i was in elementary school and i have lived in the memorial area for 20+ years. Sometimes i cant stand her attitude so much that i am more than wiling to drive to Star Pizza on Harvard. Im not paying or waiting for attitude after a long day at work. Good pizza. Fresh. Good Salad. BAD ATTITUDE.
Don't believe the bitter people PIZZA is awesome. Well not sure why all the negative reviews are about, I have always been treated good there. Been going for a year now and PIZZA IS GREAT. Regardless of service, I would go for the pizza.
Fuzzy's wife shouldn't be allowed near customers. I have been coming here since I was 13 years old and I am now 40. I would consider that a "regular" customer. Tonight I called and ordered a to-go order and picked it up 20 minutes later. When I got home, I realized they had not included the slice of pizza I ordered. I called them to let them know I would come back to pick it up and Fuzzy's wife answered. She asked if I "was sure" the pizza wasn't in my order! I told her I was quite sure and that since I had to drive back up to get it, I hoped that it would be ready and I wouldn't have to wait for it. Fuzzy's wife said, "Ma'am, we made a mistake, you don't have to be so mean about it." Mean? When I returned to the restaurant, Fuzzy seemed embarrassed and added a slice to my order, but his shrew of a wife wanted to stand there and argue about what I'd said on the phone. I didn't need all that grief for cold pizza. Hey Fuzzy, your wife just lost your restaurant a 25+ year customer.
HORRIBLE, LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! EVERYTHING IS OVERPRICED...EVEN THEIR WATER CUPS.. I've been a loyal customer of Fuzzy's for over 6 years only due to the fact that the pizza is good. It's safe to say that our family eats at Fuzzy's 2-3 per month. WE ARE FAITHFUL PATRONS. I was repulsed by the experience that I recently had with the owners after asking for a styrofoam cup & lid for my 18-month old so he could drink his water out of the cup with a straw and avoid spilling it all over him and the floor. Before I could even get my request out of my mouth the owner was looking to charge me an additional $1.50 for a styrofoam cup and plastic lid for tap water. DISGUSTING. After letting the owners know that I was dissapointed that this is how they choose to treat regular customers, the owner threatened not to serve me. I said ok and asked for a refund of my money and left to take my family to Collina's just up the street. Over the years the wait staff has constantly turned over and the quality of the pizza has slipped. I have even witnessed an employee fed up with how things are run, walk out in the middle of food service. Not once during our 6-year patronage did the owner's ever thank us at the register or at the table for coming in and supporting their neighborhood business. WHAT A SHAME BECAUE THE PIZZA IS GOOD. The good news is Collina's has great pizza as well. The owner of Collina's came by our table to welcome us and even brought our kids breadsticks to tie them over while they were baking our pie. What a difference real customer service can make!
Horrible Customer Service. Terrible customer service. As I bought a Diet Coke, with an expiration date of the day before, the coke was tasteless, as in no coke taste, only carbonation. I asked for an exchange and was told NO as they shook the coke and saw fizz. I asked for a refund and was told to leave their establishment. Can you beleive they asked me to leave after paying $10.01 for a slice of pizza, a side salad, and a drink, and didn't get served? I was not rude, just matter of fact that I didn't feel comfortable to eat there and wanted a refund. I was told to take it up with Coca Cola since they sold Fuzzy's the drink...I said, "I am your customer and they are your vendor, you should handle that complaint, not me." And I left, hungry and amazed at such poor customer service! I lost $10.01 and won't go back to a Fuzzy's again, and have shared this story with many people! - Hungry in Houston!
