With its rustic, Tuscan stylings, wood furniture, dim lighting and festive open kitchen, Olivette is warm and inviting. The creative New American menu is heavily accented with flavors of the Mediterranean. Expect healthful dishes including butternut squash soup and salad with blue cheese, cherries, walnuts and champagne vinaigrette. Entrees include roasted halibut with broccolini; seared Atlantic salmon with wilted spinach and saffron vanilla sauce; oven-braised short ribs; and truffled mushroom risotto with grilled vegetables. Desserts are artful.

My Boyfriend and I went to eat in Olivette and had a wonderful experience... The food was devine... the service was remarkable... It is a local secret... but it IS worth the time!!!

Nice variety on the menu. Liked the Southwest Caesar salad. Fish of the day was nice. Had a business lunch there wtih a member of the health club. Would not have been my choice, but I was pleasantly surprised and will be back!

Where to Sit:
While the open kitchen is entertaining, opt for a table near the large wall of windows for an expansive view of the hotel's lush, wooded grounds.

Looking for a wedding rehearsal site or private party venue? The charming, cottage-like Manor House (next door to the hotel) is available for evening and weekend events. It's also open for lunch for hotel guests and Houstonian Club members. Call (713) 685-6840.
