truely a bad day for SaltG.. Last night, I went to SaltG for my B day. I was very dissapointed. I sent back my Maudeen ribeye twice cause it was'nt cooked enough then instead of cooking a new one they keapt butchering the 1st steak. of course over cooked. I got their around 9:pm. The waiter took for ever to show up. I think the grill was already off cause my steak looked like it was cooked in an oven instead. My wine portion was minuscule I complained. The manager sure did'nt seem to want to make good. Did'nt even get an apologie and got charged $26 for a $20 12oz steak. I gave up, I was trying to have a good B day. SaltG, Get your act together I know U can.!!

Order the Porterhouse (trust me on this one). I've been to this location (8943 Katy Fwy) twice. The first time, I was HUNGRY, so I ordered the 22 oz porterhouse (my all time favorite steak anyway), figuring that what I couldn't finish, I'd take home. It was so good that I ate the whole thing. The sides were good as well, but frankly I don't remember what I had. Who cares about the sides anyway :) Hey, it's a steakhouse!

The ambiance was nice -- with a down home Texas feel, and the wait staff was prompt and attentive. There were four of us (three of whom ordered the porterhouse) and all of our steaks were cooked to perfection. Sorry Pappas, but the steak I had at your fancy place didn't hold a candle to the Salt Grass porterhouse.

Second time I went there, I couldn't help it. I ordered the porterhouse again. This time, so did the rest of our foursome. It was an easy decision. Once again, the steaks were cooked perfectly. And once again, I didn't bring any of mine home.

I'm really surprised that steaks of this quality are being produced by a chain -- and Landry's at that. This is just about the only Landry's owned restaurant I can recommend, and I recommend it highly.

Exceeds expectations. We dined here last week. The food was very good, the service attentive, and the value was outstanding.

After having just eaten in Delmonico's in Las Vegas a week before, we found the Salt Grass experience even better than the more expensive Vegas restaurant.

very nice. For a chain, this place does it right. If they would only bring back the larger portion steaks.

Better then average for sure. call ahead seating if you will be dineing on a peak time. Sides are generous and tasty. Ask for the 7 spice whith your steak. They dont put it on the table, because im sure it would go home with half the guests.

good chain steakhouse. The homemade soups and bread are worth the visit. The steaks in this local chain were a bit pricier than you might find at Outback, but worth it. The ribs could use more/better bbq sauce, but they fell off the bone and were great quality.

Man, I feel broke!. The food would have been ok if I had spent $40.00 for my family of four, but the meal (questionable) was over $100.00. Not worth the money, and I would never go back.
