Worst Mexican food ever. Well, this was one of the pricier Mexican take outs I ever had, but I figured if the food was good, then it would be worth it. The food was so far from good. Portions are tiny, The salsas both green and red are heavy handed on the vinegar taste. Also, it was new to me to pay extra for take out. I am not sure how they justify that? Anyway this is hands down the worst Mexican food I have ever had.

Waist Of Money. Save your time and go somewhere else. This place has a great atmosphere, but the food is just tasteless and expensive. I would rather go to a hole in the wall down Gessner that has some flavor.

My fiance and I ordered fajitas for two and it cost us $40. Are you kidding me? Mexican food is the cheapest food on the planet.

Always a Hit!. Guadalajara is my favorite place to have drinks and eat those awesome Flautita's at the bar. Don't forget the empanada's!

Me and my wife love the Guadarita on the rocks.

If your going to have dinner - try the Spinach and Chicken enchilada's. The best I've ever had!

Great family place. We've always had great experiences at Guadalajara, and our kids LOVE it. Our favorites: the flautas, seafood dishes, margaritas, and the free "plata del nino" for the little ones. And the bar is fun when we are there sans-kiddos! Our kids love to throw coins in the fountain as a treat after dinner, but lately it's been filthy and/or closed -- seems like a simple fix guys!

WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL. This place is wonderful. I came across it on accident with my family and everyone loves it. I'm not from Houston but am living here for the summer. I am going to be buying salsa to take home with me so my entire family can enjoy it.

The food is incredible. The salsa is the best I have ever had. I have had the chicken burrito every time I've gone and can't bring myself to order anything else because it's so good. The chicken in the burrito is no made with shredded chicken like it is where I am from. It is made with actual pieces of chicken which I found great.

Everytime I want Mexican food this is where I go. I haven't found another place better!

Hold the salt, please!. Went there today with friends. The service was good; however, the guacamole is obviously not made there. I found the salsa very salty and the food in general salty. I am paying for that now. Very thirsty!

I ordered the 3 Amigos. It comes served plain, rolled like an enchilada. It's served w/a little thing of guac, pico and that's it. I sent it back and asked them to put some queso on it. seems to me if it was a taco, it would served right side up...My friends like their food - a cheese enchilada and the portobello stuffed w/crab meat...but then again, they'll eat anything.

What happen?. This place was great for drinks and food when it first opened. We used to go about every week but in the last couple of months the food has gotten awful. Everything is tasteless except for the over use of salt, the food temperature luke warm, the meat tough, and the service bad. The bar tenders, which is the reason we continued to return were great. We all know that when a person is hungry anything can taste good, well not at Guadalajara. The quality is not what it use to be. Which is unfortunate cause it was one of my favorite Mexican resturants in Houston.

Editorial Review. An extensive Mexican menu complements the south-of-the-border flair at this bustling eatery.

Nice menu with lots of choices. better than average Tex-Mex but there are lots of choices. Del Mar enchiladas are great, the Guadalajara sampler is nice for two people to eat. Carne Asada Guadalajara style is wonderful and the corn bisque is great.

Always been a favorite!. The menu choices are both traditional and creative, so this place will satisfy a Tex-Mex crave or something a bit more exotic. It is usually crowded Thurs-Sat nights, starting at 6:00 onward. But worth the wait. I take all visitors from above the Mason-Dixon Line here for a taste of the way Mexican food was meant to be.
