“hate needles and pain so i was scared at first but i didn't feel anything and it was really quick.”
Yea, I was reading a lot of the reviews on here, and I just had to get on and write my own. Ok right now I am laid up in the hospital. Not due to anything that Dago's had done, ( knee replacement ), anyway; I had my first tat done here, an I would suggest this place for anyone over 18 that wanted one. I had a very nice man there doing my tat, he has a son w/ a factor 11, and I'm a factor 8; and I say this only because I want him to know who this is when he reads it. I too was having my doubt when I was first pulling into the parking lot, on a Sat. Night w/my sister and a friend... When we walked in I thought uh oh, but I kept walking, I too saw the signs hanging up, 2nd. Uh oh, place was like a cows pasture, meaning people everywhere u looked. No place to sit, then I got excited! This young lady cane up to me and said r u getting a tattoo? I said yes, her reply was, wow, I said u've got to start sometime.:) all was good. Then about 30min later, my # was called, as I mooed my way over, he sat me in my chair an hour and $20.00 later I was through. He gave me the prettiest dragon fly w/purple wings u ever saw. It didn't hurt ! A + for me, and my only wish was I had more money for a bigger tip. I am 58 now I had my dragon fly done this year in February. Let me tell u, if I was there in Houston, I'd go back to have at least 4 more done. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND "DAGO's TATTOOS " , Ty for a great first time. Bonnie
Problem Solved.
There are tons of reviews saying that they use used needles, well this is not true at all. The needles are new and come out of new packaging. The piece that goes into the machine is used, but they are packaged b/c they were autoclaved(sterilized).
Now, I did get a bad tattoo from a so-called artist named Tommy-the same person from 'SPELLING BEE REVIEW' (who was busy flirting + talking to everyone instead of paying attention) but once I brought Tommy's mistakes to the attention of the owner himself, my tattoo was immediately fixed by an artist who took his time to correct my bad tat. I am now a very satisfied customer. Yes, the place is crowded depending on the time you go, parking is tight, but the staff are friendly and you can't beat the price($80 for a large tat), no matter where you go in
Houston. I will return.
NEVER GO HERE.
If you want scar tissue and want to have to pay a lot more money to have it covered, I would never go here... I went in by accident (the sign that says ladies free should have given it away)
these people don't know what a tattoo is unless is prison work...
watch out for staff infection!
Great Experience. When to Dagos Yesterday Got My nipples Pierce They were Very Professional And nice In their VERY good Prices I am Definitely going Back Next Time For a TaTTOO
dago's. I STARTED GOING TO DAGO'S ABOUT 23 YRS AGO. I HAVE MORE THAN 50 TATTS (THE ORIGINAL BUTTERFLY QUEEN). EVERYTIME I GO TO DAGO'S I HAVE A NICE TIME SITTING IN THERE CHILLLNG WITH THE GUYS. ALL OF MY TATTS ARE REALLY COOL, AND I HAVENT HAD ANY PROBLEMS AT ALL. SO ALL THE PEOPLE THAT HAD PROBLEMS THERE U MUST HAVEWENT AT THE WRONG TIME OR SOMETHING. TRY IT AGAIN. WOULDNT GO ANY WHERE ELSE
quick and painless. I went to Dago's about 5 hours ago and got my tongue pierced... i hate needles and pain so i was scared at first but i didn't feel anything and it was really quick...she took about 2 minutes to do it and i was gone... its 5 hours later and i still dont feel to much of anything and on a 1 to 10 scale ten being the highest my pain tollerancy is about 2 so dont be scared
spelling bee. Man I just went to Dago's on August 2, 2009 for the 3rd time....my first was a tongue piercing...thats fine, quick and easy......the second is a tat on my right arm....which is hella fly still lookin like i just got it....great talent.......but this last tat has just plain made me mad......i got my mama's name on me TANYA and I spelled it twice on paper. and the Tommy, the black guy wit the dreds, was to busy feeling on me and flirtin that he spelled it wrong...he spelled it TONYA...i didnt realize till the next morning though..plus the tat is extrememly small compared to the other one that i got for the same price...so its not the shop i will give them my business is jus that artist will nver put his hands on me again.....
It is what you make it. Don't trip is all I can say.... I went to Dago's on the northside on a Friday night and was like damn!!! The parking lot is very small and from the outside looking in u would be like WTF. U can see the artist doing tats through the window and they're sitting in sections like u at the beauty or barber shop. When u get in pick your tat up front cause once you get in line and pay it's a done deal. They have u sign and write in your hand writing waivers. LOl for the piercings before asking u do you want the solution you writing you don't want it. Who don't want to take care of they mouth after you have poked a damn hole in it. They are dirt cheap but sanitary. Some have attitudes but who wouldn't packed in a semi small area wit what seem like a thousand people talking, laughing and staring at u. It's not very private. While getting my lip pierced I had an audience. They give u a number and your called or suppose to be called in order I was number 81 and went before a few of the numbers in the 70s but in well won't complain about that. I would so go back there. I suggest you go with the mind frame that you might be there awhile that it's going to be packed, hot and some attitudes. They also have a smoke house next door go in and take a look pass away sometime. You'll be glad u came.
More than meets the eye....
My friend and I went in here looking to get his ears pierced. I've heard so much about "go to Dago's". Upon first glance, the parking is insanely difficult. Its a "blink and you'll miss it" sort of destination. Inside it looks like a dark, party house. They were packed to the rafters with people, and there were multiple signs threatening customers with explicit profanity about staying out of certain areas, and how they are not your therapist, etc.
There were no visible price lists and no staff on hand to assist us with questions or to make the sale to us for his piercings, so we left the place.
For the price they seem ok. But to someone seeking quality, decency in language, and professionalism... I would seek the services of a studio elsewhere to be honest.
Best Tattoos. I went one Saturday niight and it was awsome. The parking is terrible, the building looks ok. But once you get inside they are purely professional. The prices are great, the tattoo choices are even better. I had been to other places looking for the right tattoo, the prices were high and the artist were not friendly. But Dago's was on point.
